Out In The Woods

Suit up and follow the path of my greed.
Swiftly and sweetly, trace my steps through your pride.
We'll be out there for days...maybe weeks, maybe more.
And the darker it gets, the faster we'll ride.

Bury the bones, leave the rest to me.
We'll burn all the bridges, and we'll hide the way home.
Nobody's here yet, and nobody cares...
But we'll wait for them patiently, together, alone.

Let them see, make them know
That it's all gonna change.
Squeeze it in your fist,
Let it drip down from your lips.
Press your tongue against the sin,
Taste my blood and let me in.

I'm learning your face, and I'm praying for grace
And you stay.
You stay.

And when they come with their torches,
We'll open their eyes,
Bring them down, scorch the ground,
and leave none of it alive.

Let them see, make them know
That it's already changed.
Squeeze it in your fist,
Let it pour out from your lips.
Give yourself into the sin,
Taste my blood and it begins.

The rising sun will clean the wounds.
And you stay.
You stay.
