Summary: After avoiding the Bunansa family for nearly a year, Lady Bunansa requests one final favor from Noah.
A/N: This AU variant of Ivalice assumes that Ashe and Ffamran are cousins through their mothers. Archadia verges on being an Ivalician equivalent of post-Victorian/pre-War England. Other AU differences will be revealed later in this story and in additional "Sacred & Profane" episodes.
Given that this is the first chapter of the first story in this AU variant of Ivalice, the chapter is paced a little slower to provide setting and background information from Noah’s point of view. It is a prelude to the rest of this story (approx 10,000 words) and to future episodes that feature Noah/Ffamran and Noah + the Bunansa's and their royal relations.
( The Square of Remembrance is surrounded by oldest residence halls at the Akademy. It is the only place I have found in the city where Archades’ towering heights do not cast shadows on the ground.)
