My day... D&D style
Well today started off crappy, i felt sick as a dog, but it got better. Eventually john came over and we played alot of games, then stewie dropped by then the D&D started! WOOT!
In summary of what just happened over the past 3 days of D&D... The party finally made it to the tower in the south that the little girl told them about. (Tsai was her name, favored weapon sickle... looks like that little girl in my dream a while back) Once they enter they meet up with Brute, the human turned vampire. He is also Job's (stewie's character) sparring partner, Job never once beat him. Brute then procceded to challenge Job in a one on one battle to the death. Amazingly Job dodged the first round of volleys from Brute, after tearing gashes into his side. The second round brought Job within an inch of his life and in a fit of extacy and rage (Job is a bit of a masochist) he managed to slay the mighty Brute, who turned into vapors and floated away. They fought their way through the second level of the tower, up against a 3 headed dragon, followed by 3 displacer beasts on the next floor. When they teleported to the 4th floor they found themselves in a cage, on the outside of this cage was a drow elf... he introduced himself as Evan, the supposed god. After a long chat w/ him the party escaped with the help of brute (who after he was killed reformed his body and wasn't put under control by Evan... he's a little absentminded) The next floor had 4 people, one was dead, one was Job's mother (the mother who raised him), a blind monk and a wizard who soon died.
The top of the tower had a crystal set on top of it, they were told it was what let evan control the zombies like he did. Beatrix, Brute and Job stayed at the top of the tower and attempted to destroy the crystal as everybody else escaped. They succeded, the crystal was destroyed, but not without discharging an amazing ammount of arcane energy, the tower was decimated in a sphere of light, the ground was a crater. Job was jumping off the tower as it happened and the force threw him an amazing distance... He felt his soul being rended from his body and he felt the voice of his god inside of his head "You have served me well, Do you wish to live?" Job anwsered yes and awoke a week or so later about a half a days travel from where the tower was... his body hurt all over (the rest of the party assumed he died and went back to town) Tsai soon showed up and explained she was an avitar to the great deity Kord, she healed his wounds and wished him good luck on his adventure.
When Job made it back to town, the Gnome (nates char... dont remember his name) was going through his last stages of pregnancy, he gave birth to an egg. The town was soon attacked by a black dragon, Nate and Job fended off the dragon and destroyed it... After venturing to its lake... they didn't know it could breath underwater... and they went after it on a boat... that was fun >:-)
When they made it back to the town, it was in ruins. The townspeople were dead, and the buildings were mostly torn down... Feeling depressed the party headed north towards the "Azure Vail" as it is called, to try to find the place where Evan was creating all of his zombies. Along the way they ran into a wraith... that was fun... after clearing 100 sq feet of forest they finally killed it. The egg that nate laid and had been carrying around for the past week finally began to hatch as everyone dropped it and ran for cover. It held a small living golden gnome figurine holding a baby. It attempted to touch anyone who came near untill Akisu (michelle) finally put it in its box. They stopped at the "starting town" for a nights stay in the torn down inn, but not before hiding the box with the gnome under a rock. During the night they were attacked by a golden, two armed sliver. (quite amazing... only one... and it had two arms... ) I split its body into 3 parts and tried to force itself into the parties insides... Job drank a potion that his mother gave him and he turned to stone, Akisu jumped out of the way, and Nate... got hit...
After a nights rest they continued north and finally found the town they were looking for. The party, of Bob (john) Serif (the blind monk) and Job (stewie) fashioned a disguise... Of a giant bush... and began to sneak toward the town.
You may be asking yourself... a giant bush? that wouldn't fool anything. This is true, but they were sneaking into a town full of zombies... The disguise worked successfully. They made it into a town and tricked the blind monk to jump down into the sewers... he wasn't to happy with that.
After exploring in the sewers they came to a room that had a pool of rotting flesh... human waste... and other nasty smelling things. Little did they know that an undead wyvern was waiting for them in that pool, it managed to grab Job and pull him under the surface of the muck.... It was a long strugle of Job breaking free and trying to stab something he couldn't see before it held him again. Bob on the other hand went searching into other rooms and found a large undead creature, like a very very very big ape... It put the, how should i say.... smackdown on him. Bob ran back just as Job finished off the Wyvern and the party proceded to finish of the undead creature. Shortly thereafter Serif came through the pipe, as he searched the other direction than the party and took a little longer to get to where he needed to be.
The game ended with them walking into a room with an altar, it had a left hand, female, with 13 rings on it (all melded to the hand).
Underwater battling, Intelegent undead, Wraiths that hide in tree's... very tactically pleasing
Built and destroyed town, Lies coming from one unknown with truth coming from the other, The loss of two beloved characters, Beatrix and Brute.
It creates for character drive
Job met his god on two occasions, and spoke with him personally
Nate gave birth to an egg... and for being a male character that is amazing
Akisu got a dagger that tries to kill her
Bob has a sword that we're still trying to calculate its worth in gold
All in all... decent day...
