As long as you don't pull a Douglas Adams on me and the rest of the Dresden Files fandom in the next eight or so years, though, I can forgive you. I'll keep nursing this desperate need to scream for resolution until next year, but I can let you have this one cliffhanger. The next book, though? No cliffhangers like this one. Your fandom would probably have a collective coronary, and then what would you do with all those books you've yet to sell?
But seriously. Don't die and leave us hanging?
Hooray for speed-reading, though. 4 1/2 hours for 438pgs is a new record for me, I think.
I think this has solidified my decision not to get into A Song of Ice and Fire series until George RR Martin is finished writing, though. Considering it's been something like 5-8 years since he came out with the last book, it makes it a little easier to wait a year for the next DF book.
On a not-books note, I watched all 10 seasons of Friends. That was time consuming, but so very Awesome.
Chandler: So he calls me Toby once in a while. What’s the big deal? It could be worse, it’s not like he’s calling me Muriel. [Chandler suddenly freezes into place.]
Ross: [laughs] Muriel. Wh-why would he call you Muriel? [Ross realizes something.] Oh my God! Chandler M Bing? It’s not just an M, your middle name is Muriel!!
Chandler: Shh! It is a family name!
Ross: Chandler Muriel Bing. [sobers] Boy, your parents never gave you a chance did they? --Friends
