definitely the ability to.... wow hmm.. The emo kids, horny kids and the troublemakers would say invisible and the normal people and the thrill seekers would say fly.
The invisibility thing is kind of like Plato's story in "The Republic" about Gyges' ring. The basic premise is that people are just / practice justice not for justice's sake, but because they fear some repercussion for not.
The story is that this guy finds a ring that makes him completely invisible. With no sort of "check" on his actions (by the possible punishments for wrongdoing), a just man would fall into injustice. An interesting thought experiment that is common in sociology / philosophy / psychology / political science is to ask what you would do if there was no possibility of being punished for any wrongdoing.
So...saying that normal people would say fly is not quite correct. Given the choice, most people (just and unjust) would say invisible...based on what I have learned.
the other half is that flying, is associated with mythological machoistic heroism stuff, and that a person who would choose flying is either, a) lying to themselves or b) extremely puffed up with their own image...i'm not sure if i agree with this or not...
could you rephrase it as a choice between what you want to be(flying) and what you're afraid you really are(invisibility)?

Inquisitively, invisibility.

I realized how bad that sounded as soon as I finished the sentence...but I thought it was funny enough to leave in. ;-)
