A plunge into deep contemplation. Kind of.
I haven't really updated lately, and I don't really feel like going back to the last time I made an actual update to recap my very exciting life, so instead I'll start with last night. We went to see The Omen, which was pretty bad, except for David Thewlis, who I love so very, very much. I didn't actually realize he was in it until we saw the credits at the beginning, so that was kind of a nice surprise before something that was pretty much expected to be bad anyway. It had its moments (not that I could tell you now what they were), but overall, it just didn't make it past mediocre. I think it might have actually been a trailer for the next Harry Potter.
There was a trailer for The Wicker Man, which I thought I'd heard of, and it turns out was a movie in the 70s (also a book, but the book wasn't actually published until after the movie came out) with Christopher Lee that I now kind of want to see. I'm still not sure what the plot is, but it sounds really interesting. Unfortunately, it seems Nicholas Cage will be ruining it. Oh well.
Today has been one of Those Days, as I woke up around 9 and panicked, because why didn't anyone wake me up for school? I went into the kitchen where my dad was having breakfast and asked him that, and he was like, "it's Saturday" and I was like, "Oh, right. Bye." and went back to bed. I woke up again at 2:20, which was five minutes after I was supposed to be at the music store to rehearse for the recital tomorrow, so I rushed to get dressed, and as I was doing that, my teacher called me to say not to bother, because the cops had just come to tell them they had to shut up and stop playing. So I ate breakfast.
The rest of the day will most likely be spent writing for English and creative writing, and hopefully I'll actually get something significant done. I really came up with a more solid concept for my English project last night though, so I think I'll be ok, if I can just write it.
