I did a lot in Feburary, come and read.
After celebrating the big holiday Sullah, I moved into my new host family. I really like my new host family because I get to play with the kids and get to see how other Korean people live in life. Despite the loudness within the house, I really enjoy my life there and get to know them more and more!
Going back to school after the long winter break was really hard since I had to adapt to the schooling again. Seeing the graduation ceremony for the very first time in Korean style was really surprising because I thought that it’ll be kind of similar to American style. Instead of wearing cap and gowns, the students wore their uniforms to the ceremony. I was kind of sad leaving school because in March will be a new semester and that means changing classmates because I have gotten really use to them and everything about them.
Mr. Kim’s welcome party was a really enjoying time together with everyone. I was really shocked to see since it has been a good six months not seeing him and his wife. So when I saw again, I felt that I was back in America meeting him the first time and like another meeting before the South Korea trip.
Centum City Anniversary was a really great time to see other Rotarians again and of course wearing the Korean traditional clothing! I really enjoyed the food and the entertainments. The volunteering on Thursday was not what I expected because I thought it was something big like the last one, but it was different because it was held at a restaurant and the other was held outside. But I get the experience on how waitresses and waiters serve foods to their customers, so that was fun!
Going to Seoul was a really fun time even though it was only two days. I went to my old host sister Lee Ji Hyun, who my American family hosted as a university back in 2001. Her wedding was so amazing with the American and Korean wedding style. During the Seoul trip I also met up with the Seoul Rotary exchange students and we had a really great time together with them.
