(no subject)
Well, after that whole relaxing at home deal, I went over to Lizzie's house. Went in to her making dinner for her family and some of David's friends, so we got kinda caught up on the past few months while she finished that. Then we pretty much moved onto looking through a bunch of things on her computer, from cool icons to really awesome music videos and the like. Also in there were some pretty cool movies David made with his friends. Also tried to pick out songs that would be good for the portcon dance, but I can't really dance and she can dance to anything, so, well, that was kinda hit or miss, but we knew enough to knock a couple off.
Still, you can dance to The Rising Fighting Spirit, right? :P
Back to the icons for a minute, anything that can combine Star Wars and The Princess Bride into a good joke is definitely a good thing.
Oh, and she had cookies and cream ice cream. Something amazingly good I haven't had in forever. And we also worked on a homestarrunner text based game too. Well, I played when she had to get stuff done, and she played otherwise. And by text-based, I mean it was played like a text-based game, but still had myst-style pictures to show the general areas.
Oh, and naturally, we talked a lot about portcon, not just the music. Stuff like the Sock Wars (which I might actually do this year, maybe), the Scavenger Hunt (which looks like it'll be really cool), and that R.A. SALVATORE IS GOING TO BE THERE! Among other things, of course.
So yeah, that and other fun stuff = good times :)
