Mog tilted his head at the feel on the horizon, and moving over to one side of Relm where he drew his spear from his back and looked around wondering if anything would come. He gave Strago a nod and smile to indicate he was ready, "Kupo probably shouldn't try dances right now huh." he sounded disappointment, and even twitched a little bit. It was equally disappointing that he'd probably be fighting stuff rather than watching the coolies ritual thingy.

Relm offered the same smile to Mog, shrugging. "Why not? Maybe it'd help..." She watched Strago curious as the old man began to chant under his breath, but turned back to the horizon as the entire sky seemed to have a reddish cast to it.

(trying really hard not to tangle replies here >.>)

Mog looked at the sky at the same time Relm did. It was awfully pretty to him, it was strange to think that it could be so destructive and nice to look at simultaneously.

He gave a deep breath and for once tried to be serious for once. After all he was defending his home and all of the other moogles now; even if he'd rather be around people than them he stil wanted to make sure they stayed ok. Granted they were in the mines and thus a lot safer than the poor people in town. He successfully stayed serious looking for a few moments before he twitched a bit, lowered his spear in boredom, and looked back at the others again. Twitch.

It was about that time that he was fortunate enough for a small furry monster to fly out of nowhere and cling to the back of his head, "Holy f@#king kupo get it off!" he ran in circles and tried to hit is with his spear, franticly afraid it might hurt his pompom.

(Best. Line. EVER!!! Is it one of Mog's friends, or a wererat?)

At hearing Mog's squeal, Celes whirled around to see a Were-Rat with its little claws digging into Mog's neck. Under normal circumstances, she would have roasted it with a small Fire spell, but alas, her blade would absorb it.

Heaving a sigh, she walked over to Mog and flicked the Were-Rat between the eyes. It dropped dead. "Hmph."

Suddenly, she heard a thundrous roar behind her. Hundreds of this Were-Rat's kin were racing toward the magic storm, and therefore, them. "Oh my Gods!" Celes cried. Sure, they were weak, but in great number, even ants could eat large monsters alive! Or, at least that's what Celes read once.

Were-Rats? Oh, that wasn't good. One was a piece of cake, but that many? Relm darted a pleading look to Celes. "Oh, great. There's so many, what should we do--" She frowned, remembering somethign and cast a Fire3 spell, making sure to aim so none of her friends would be singed. Several of the were-rats were, but it'd take more than a few spells to get rid of that horde.

"Oh." Mog had assumed it was a horrible demon from the netherworld or something considering the situation, and was kinda embarassed that it was 'just' a wererat. He was also a bit peeved and wanted to show that he could still smoke stuff too.

Twitching and putting his spear aside, he raised his little arms and spun around a few times doing an oddly cute little dance. A snare opened up and a portion of the were rats started to run directly into it. He went to stop and giggle but realized that he was still spinning around.

"Kupo?" it probably didn't seem odd to those around him yet, but he was getting a bit concerned at the slight difficulty. Probably nothing.

Pausing from slashing, hitting, and kicking the rodents, Celes cast Relm a quizzical look as the Fire 3 entered her blade with a red sparkle. "Use your weapons, dearest! Runic absorbs everything, remember?"

Upon seeing the effectiveness of Mog's little dance number, Celes clasped her hands together delightedly. "Why thank you, Mog! You're my fuzzy, pompomed hero!"

Relm hated using weapons. She much preferred casting, since that wasn't dependant on her lack of strength or training. Damn Grandpa and him telling Celes to use Runic. Then again, if Mog's special abilities weren't affected, then her own shouldn't be...still, she moved away from Celes just in case ( ... )

Mog yayed at the drawing thingy, he always liked Relm's art, he'd have to get her to draw something of him to dance with sometime... of course first he'd have to stop dancing, and he was getting a bit worried at this point about his inability to stop, as worried as it was possible for him to be at least at this time.

He became a bit moreso when a nearby tree spontaneously burst into a blaze via a foxfire spell, "Aaaack! Aim right! Kupo can't stop!" Perhaps the fact that runic didn't affect a moogle's dances wasn't such a great thing anymore.

"All right; let's go!" Celes seized Relm's hand, the size of an adult's now, and bolted for the caves. As she passed Mog, she lifted his furry body and slung him over her shoulder. "Sorry sweets, Strago's orders." she said, figuring that Mog wouldn't like being lifted. "You should be able to regain control of yourself once we reach the caves."

"Kupo? EEEK!" wigglewigglewigglewigglewigglewiggle. At least being grabbed all the wiggling wasn't resulting in the moves needed to actually cast anything, but he was concerned that the uncontrollable squirming would make him seem cuter than neccessary and he wasn't in an entirely cute mood.

"Mog? What wrong with--c'mon, let's move. Gramps knows what he's doing." Relm didn't want to leave Eiko, but what choice was there? Get blasted with a Holy or have her head split open with whatever the storm winds would send her way? With a heavy heart, she let Celes grab her hand, though she let out a sudden yelp and ducked when a thick tree branch nearly slammed into her, carried by the winds that were nearly sideways now. She darted a look back to Strago and Eiko, hoping they would be alright...and that there weren't too many monsters in the caves.

(New thread for Eiko and Strago?)
