For all that was, for everything that should have been.
She held the past close to her heart, sealed it with glimpses of long hair and echoing words.

She raised her sword, brought down Judgement on the fallen.
The corrupt child blindfolded and handed scales to play with, the weight of the world seemingly in her hands.

In the dancing tongues of campfire light, eyes sparkled and visions flooded her senses. Only when her skin turned red did she retreat. Pale lines on the landscape of flesh across her cheeks.

In her sleep they sang, the saints she claimed to fight for.
Along with the saint she fought for.

For what was not and for what never should have been, it was hard to tell.
Beyond the horizon, between the skies and the oceans.
She was everywhere and nowhere to be seen.

For what it was worth she pressed on, endless line of footprints behind her, vanishing into the distance. Sometimes she wondered if it was they that moved.

Always from afar then and now, hiding in shadows to catch the light of smiles.
Will torn in two and thoughts crossing only to come undone.
