Sep 03, 2011 02:50

Title: Moonshine
Fandom: Final Fantasy IV
Pairing: Rosa/Rydia
Prompt: Pregnancy
Rating: G
Words: 500
Author's Note: This is part of a longer RODIA (yeah, I totally wrote that) fic I've been working on/thinking about based on a few other ideas, but I figured I'd try to rev it up and contribute to this comm. ^_^

'What is it like?' Rosa asks softly, blonde hair blowing in the wind. 'To bring something into the world?' )

fandom: ffiv, pairing: rosa/rydia, prompt: pregnancy

Interesting exploration of the relationship between Rydia and her summons. Looking forward to more drabbles from you!

And I'm looking forward to posting more yuri drabbles! There are plenty of yuri pairings I've thought about, but then it just seems like too big of a thing to tackle, so drabbles are a great way to start out.

I like the idea that Rydia has a lot of control over her summons, and unique relationships with each one; especially because that's such a huge part of her identity. ^_^

This is absolutely stunning, I am not even kidding. Your otherworldly portrayal of Rydia as summoner, and the summons, and the bright/dark contrast running through this whole thing, just works delightfully well. So glad you're writing these two.

Thank you so much! This was based on a longer idea for a fic I had, and I still want to expand on it. I started with this pairing solely because I asked deadcellredux to give me a really random pairing...so she hit me with this. I started thinking about it, and just like you say, I thought it'd be interesting to play on Rosa as a white magic caster, and how she might be terrified of bearing Cecil's child if they end up together when he's a Dark Knight...and then this idea of how Rydia like, "bears" monsters. Etc. Or something. Point is: I am indeed looking forward to writing more of these two, so I'm so happy you liked it.

Thank you again! It was really heartening to hear your kind words. ^_^
