News Application 2.4
Because nothing ever goes right the first time. Especially with code, but also with applications.
A few more accidental omissions have come to light in the application, and therefore, there is ANOTHER new version. Changes this time around include explicitly stating that you get seven personal attacks, adding a Default Magic Type field, and adding a note to explain and justify stats and attacks. Kind of important, that.
Please note the address (apps@finalfantasymush.com) and format for the subject, as well. I'll repeat it here, since it's kind of important: (FC/OC) - (Name) - (Faction). This will help us now and in the future to keep things sorted so we know who's going where at a glance. People who have already submitted their apps (you know who you are), please do so again using this format and filling out the new requested information. To put a wild rumour that's been going around (you know who you are too) to rest, no, we will not be putting your app to the back of the priority list if you sent it in early. But we will probably have a fair few to work through, so, sit tight.
This is probably as good a time as any to mention that we will be having online character generation for OCs as well. You'll be allowed to pcreate the object, log in as them, and use a machine to set up your profile and stats, and then submit the character for approval, all without ever touching the application form. Unfortunately submissions are not quite working yet for reasons beyond my control, but hey, more room for other people to log onto guest bits, right?
That's the bad news out of the way, so I hope you're all ready for the opening tonight!

Profile: In 1-3 sentences each, detail the character's personality, their background, abilites, equipment or other relevant skills, and their strengths and flaws, especially mental ones. Write in an authoritative, third person manner, as if it were a dossier.
Skills: Skills and talents, minor trivia, philosophies, tropes, what have you. List them here! Capitalise Each Word, And Separate Entries With Commas, See?
4) It Builds Character
What is your character's history up until this point? Where have they been and what have they done? How did they end up in the faction they owe allegiance to? Who taught them what they know? On the other side of the coin, how has this shaped them into the person they are today? What kinds of things do they like, and what do they dislike? Do they have any particular motivations, long-standing dreams, or notable strengths or weaknesses of character?
This section of the application is meant to give life to your character concept. Use it to flesh them out and make them feel like a real person. By the end of it, we should have a strong idea of what kind of person they are, where they come from, and what they want to do.
If you're applying for an FC then you're done. If you're going for an OC, please fill out the rest of the form.
5) Statistics
This is where you can tell us about your character's capabilities, as they pertain to beating up other people. This section is mainly for OCs, but if you are apping an FC you can suggest changes here, or after you have gotten a look at the character's +stats. Please explain and justify your stats and skills/attacks at the end of this section. Alternatively, you can simply describe your character's abilities and fighting style, and let the admin build the stats for you. In all cases, the staff's word is final.
You have eight stats, each between 1-255. They should total around 1000 and individual stats shouldn't go above 200 or below 50 without extraordinarily good reason.

Weapon type: Nominate the element (Strike, Slash or Pierce) of your character's default weapon.
Magic type: If you are a Mystic Knight, Red/White/Black/Blue Mage, Geomancer or Caller, nominate a default magical element you specialise in.
Personal Attacks/Skills:
* You get seven Personal Attacks/Skills. Two of these will be your Limit Breaks.
* When you build your personal list please remember that many basic attacks have been packaged into your class skill list. Your personal list should cover skills/spells/etc that you specialise in, like a Black Mage specialising in Fire spells, and new variations on or totally new spells of their own design.
* Mark your Limits Breaks with a '*' before the name.
* Attacks should always have a level, class and type. Healing spells and items are Arcane. You can only have two effects/modifiers per an attack (unless the third is Self).
* Attacks and skills should be formatted like so: (Name)=(Level) (Type) (Element) (Effect),(Modifier)
Examples: Frag Grenade=3 Physical Fire Weaken
One Inch Punch=6 Physical Strike,Bypass
Lunatic High=0 Magic Arcane Haste,Split
