Round Two: Phase 1 - RESULTS
We had a little less voter participation than I'd like, but still enough to advance. Remember, if you have to say goodbye to this round, hold on to your pants and don't piss in 'em; the next round will start in about two weeks.
Everyone's icons were lovely, but unfortunately we have to vote someone off Destiny Island.

I think it needs more "oomph." I like the cropping, but the mostly blue coloring (Lenne's clothes, the background) & the washed-out skin leaves Lenne blending with the background. I'd like for her to "pop" a bit more, if that makes sense.
It's a nice concept[...] It's always tempting to use stamps in icons, but the wing stamp is a hard one to use without it looking cheesy. The text is hard to read as well. The crop isn't bad, but I think it could be pushed further.
I love the composition; it's very unique & unpredictable.
The image is blurry and slightly grainy looking, perhaps the result of over-usage of the Blur tool? The colors are rather washed out as well, sans the bottom flowers. Add a few more light textures, or jus ttextures in general, to give it more depth and color.
Maybe a different font (a c[u]rsive one?) would have been nicer too look at.
The icon is really nice, but the pink gradient (I suppose it's a gradient) is a little overwhelming and it hides the image underneath. Maybe a lighter shade of the same gradient would work better.
While a really nice icon, it feels as though it's lacking something. I can't figure out what exactly it is. I love the composition and imagery with lyrics choice, however, maybe it would suit better if Lenne's skin wasn't quite so washed out or contrasted? Or against a different not quite so stark backdrop?
