I think a good case could be made for several of the classes but I am going to go with monk. You seem to fit a lot of the characteristics - blunt, passionate, impulsive. Your answers to the who would you save question makes me think monk as well, I can see monks like Tifa going out of the way to save the person they love most, as well as the helping a friend question. Sympathetic but not allowing self-pity.
I loved reading your FF answers as well! VI is next on my list to play, I just need to download it and I totally ship Gabranth/Drace as well. And I still have a bitter hatred for Scarmiglione as well so I am with you there!

You dropped the original Bridget on me for one--FISHEYE VI gets some flack precisely because it's SO big. If they'd waited for the hardware to catch up with the scope of the game, I bet we'd've had something akin to the Myst series (which was the first multi disk game, if I recall correctly, on a console that I might add did not get nearly enough love). I can only imagine how the whole sidequest in Cyan's mind would have played out--I mean, you KNOW they were pulling punches to avoid getting hit with the censor stick.
I am incredibly sorry about the delay on this vote: I have been waffling between classes for a week and every time I type a vote out I second-guess it. /cough
I can see this app working for two jobs: Monk and Soldier: blunt, passionate, impulsive; erratically energetic; even the way you write strikes me as immensely Monk-like. (Especially the capslock.) There are streaks of other classes in there too, but I think those two stand out the most. I think I'm ultimately leaning a little towards Monk, though it's honestly very close. I don't quite see monks as vindictive or unforgiving (whereas Soldiers have a couple of examples of those), but the way you work in teams and the way you'd handle an upset friend both seem more Monk-like, and they certainly have that determined passion to them. Your description of your mood strikes me as very Monk-like as well - they've always seemed to me to be very open with their moods, so 'all the way up and all the way down' sounds about right for a Monk to me. The 'no waffling' thing does sound more

I pride myself on being difficult to pigeonhole (HAVE AT IT, TOFF-you know you wanna) but this is clearly one of those cases where it's done me no favors. I'll admit it: I've been checking my messages like the guy in JoCo's song "I Feel Fantastic" and now I know why (partly) it's been so long in getting sorted.
Funny thing, I never saw myself as particularly Soldier-y-in most cases it takes me overlong to get quite that ready for action, as it were. (But when I do, it's on.)
I'm entirely too amused by your thoughts on my writing style. I love it. <3

I think the both of you should take it as some kind of (marginally dubious?) honour that I saw the word "pigeonhole" and had Bird Joke Premonitions. (I was going to try for a bird pun here but the best I came up with was 'incoo-rigible.' /eternally ashamed, etc.)
I think, in part, that your application did just honestly arrive at a bad time, unfortunately. :( Yours coincided with the irregularly scheduled LJ Disaster of the Season, after all. (We get one every game, or something.) As it stands, though: if you're keen on anything in ff_eventsquare, feel free to participate now? I know I gave you gil for the comments in MWS, but it's obviously not reflected in the tallies because I've no clue where you're going to end up just yet.
Oh, VI. I have so much love for it; I only wish I could write more fic for it but I can't, in this 'this game is so amazing' way. I do agree it's definitely one of those games that keeps you going, though, and I love it for much the same reason. (I have an incredible love for games with that theme.) Sadly, I've no

Ah, yes, Reapers The LiveJournal Disaster du Jour. There isn't much that can be done about that. In fact, when it came down, and my client couldn't post my queue, I just sort of said "meh." I don't even follow the updates anymore really, not on the site directly, not since they repeatedly brick'd the rich text editor. For me, that was the real coo-de grace. I have the barest basic knowledge of HTML and that only because some of it carried over from BBCode.
Okay, this is probably going to sound creepy but I've been thinking about you for DAYS.
When I read your application, there was the initial "totally this class, in the bag" but as I read on, two other classes popped into my head. Usually it's very hard to shake that first impression, but I have a feeling you scoff at my first impression, you scoff and laugh and grin, possibly evilly.
So, I haven't played a lot of the early FF games. Like, none. I have them - or, um, have acquired versions of them - but I always get distracted by shiny things, so my knowledge about the classes mostly stems from later games. And if it's not got a number on it, I probably don't even know a single damn thing about it. SO, that being said, I will say that my first impression is out. You're not a soldier. Or a thief, which was my other impression.
I'm going to say you're a monk. Which is maybe or maybe not the answer you agree with... I don't think I've played a game full-through that had a proper monk, but you strike me as someone with cause

I love it when I stump people. It's stopped surprising me, but I still love it. Gives me that "boo-yah" feeling.
I've been reading the thought processes of each vote and it's really fascinating and fun. (Funscinating?)
I made a point of NOT looking at the classes before I applied, to be totally clearheaded. But I'm wondering if that first impression was white mage, which does get a "pfflol" from me.
Wow, you are a tough one to place! I see elements of all of the classes pretty much, which is pretty awesome! However, I think I'm going to echo the Monk votes though. Monks have the "keep going, tolerant, and stick to their guns" Positive Traits that you have that I also associate a lot with the White Mages and Thieves...but, the very energetic way you've written your application just *reads* Monk to me. I think you have their temperament more than the other classes, if that makes sense! While I can see Soldiers, Dragoons, and even Black Mages in a few of your weaknesses, I think the Monk class is the one that would most likely encompass them all (if that makes any sense, lolz! I'll just pretend it does

I do really like the Monk votes you've gotten. The Monk characters in FF are often rather tolerant, they stay dedicated to what they feel and have made choices towards, can get aggressive when angry, and certain Monk characters sometimes do seem to have a hard time focusing on one task at a time (Snow and Zell definitely come to mind here). "Even if it looks impossible, I keep going." is DEFINITELY a very Monk-like personality trait to me too as they're very determined characters. :D
