With the exception of the gloomy/depressed bit, I felt an overpowering Thief vibe in basically every other way. The creativity, the friendliness, the competitiveness, the "collector" personality, the necessity of Steal (I hear ya on that, though), the impulsive emotionality...to me, they were all screaming "Thief!" in my mental ear as I was reading through the application. True story.

& I spent endless hours on Triple Triad too. (My favorite card game ever, to be honest.) I've always wanted the physical cards but have never managed to hunt any down. Did you ever get to play a game in ~real life~, or did you mostly get them for collecting purposes?

While I think that you have traits of a few of the classes, especially solider, thief and dragoon, I am actually going to go with Monk, as you characterise yourself as impulsive, but I think more serious generally than a thief. I also think that your answer to the how to comfort a friend answer, sympathetic without enabling self-pity, as well as wanting to take hands-on action rather than lead and being competitive are all quite Monk-ish traits.

I agree totally with you on VIII and Squall and I love your thoughts on Ramza (one day I really will finish Tactics) and VI is next on my list to play!

Anyway, welcome!

I actually see a lot of different classes at various points... Namely monk, thief, black mage, and dragoon, which is interesting since the monk/bm combo is one I rarely consider as many of their traits tend to be opposite. (It's a good thing!)

The competitive and friendly parts are very reminiscent of monk, but... I'm actually going to be random and say Dragoon. They can be friendly, even if they're more reserved overall... Freya is anyway, and I've heard Fang is although I haven't played XIII. I sometimes see Edgar put in that class as well, since he equips spears, and he's certainly on the friendlier side ( ... )

*waffles* Man, this is a bit tough. I'm getting shades of Dragoon then Thief, then Dragoon then Thief. In the end, I think I have to go with Dragoon. Although your impulsiveness and energetic choices (not to mention Steal preference ability) is very Thief, the other traits just make me feel you're more Dragoon. Your spiderman choice for example, loyalty to save your friend even though it's still a tough decision. Your gloomy nature too. So Dragoon it is.

I have never waffled so hard between Monk and Dragoon before.

Ultimately, however, I think I'm going to have to say Monk. I think your traits can honestly go between either of them, but what's tipping me so hard towards a Monk vote is the fact that you seem more overtly emotional; I tend to conceive of people in that class as having more obvious highs and lows, whereas Dragoons tend to be quieter but more determined about their emotional investments. "Can't wait to share it with everyone" is more of a monk attitude towards something you're really passionate about, I think; canon dragoons, at least, seem to me to tend to quietly devote themselves to one or two things they really care about.
