It had become suprisingly rare for her to leave the solace of her realm closer to the hills of Nibelhiem however travel was at times good for the soul.
Her soul. She had to smile to herself as she brushed a dark lock of hair from her eyes and swept it back to the inky spill that flowerd down her back. Many would never recognize her outside of her gard she donned as a Guardian. Silks replaced leather, the hairpins left to let the dark mane fall free and wild. She was not that person now, not after all that had come to pass. Her beloved Wakka had been gone for some time now on whatever calling whispered in his ear. This time, it was a Blitzball tournament that would, of course, finally put Besaid on the map. There was no true way of knowing when he would return. That...had been almost a year ago now. She feared the worse, did not dare hope all was well. Many creatures lurked the lands and she had, after all, lost one love of her life.
She was in no way luck enough to have this one returned to her safely as well. So many women would continue to mourn and to never move past such darkness. It had made her return to her deepestroots and her greatest of passions. Magically, she had never been stronger. It was all that she focused on. Spiritually, she was still mending wounds. It would take far longer for those to find their way to heal.
Midgar. It was not at all her common lands however it had called to her...drew her here. She stopped within the street, her eyes drawn to a rough-and-tumble looking woman with hair a nondescript brown and an ample figure. She gave pause, watching in silent consideration as her hand drifted over the Moogle doll's head. Perhaps she wa the one who inadvertantly called to her. Maybe this...was why she was here.
Tifa's head seemed to throb and she groaned softly as she lifted her head from the ground. She couldn't remember anything apart from coming to this place, she recalled venturing to Midgar and then nothing. What had happened to her? Where had all the bruises and cuts come from?
She sat up and blinked her ruby eyes slowly as she took in the world around her. A sharp pain on her arm drew her attention to it and she frowned as a red dot seemed to mar her skin. With a deep breath, she got to her feet and staggered slightly to the right. A pain seemed to lace her body as she moved and as she lifted her top, she swallowed as an angry bruise resided across her skin.
What in the hell had happened to her? She lifted a hand to her head and winced as an ache spread out from her fingertips and when she pulled them away from her head, blood stained them red. Tifa kept her hand on her side as she looked around herself in a daze.
As her head turned, the world spun and the woman fell to the ground in a heap.
Her attention was immediately drawn to the woman as she fell, running before she truly realized this was what she was doing. Her hand snapped in front of her, the indicating glow from her fingers denoting the spell she wove as a Shell snapped around te victim of the attack. Her eyes narrowed as now her pace slowed, ever wary of a possible second attack. She stood the attentive protector, her hand still raised as she prepared for a possible second attack, the moogle tucked carefully in position. No...it seems that no one would strike again. Her eyes fell to her ward as she knelt, her free hand now coming to a hidden pouch within her robes as she removed a remedy to the poisons that may be coursing through her body...just in case.
Tifa blinked as a rather tall stunning dark haired woman came to her assistance. She lifted her head and blinked her eyes a few times so her vision would clear." I am now." She answered slowly as she considered things, she was still unsure as to why she had come to this place not to mention a few other things. She did know her name and she knew where she was which was good but she didn't recall being attacked or being in danger of some sort but from the bruises on her body. It was clear she had been attacked. Very slowly, she pulled her legs from beneath her so she could brace her weight on her feet and she was finally able to get into a crouched position.
She rises, brushing back the long skirts as she studied the younger woman, her dark eyes raising once more to search the rooftops, then looks back to her ward. In so many ways already, she reminded her vaguely of Yuna. Most saw Yuna as weak, defenseless when in many ways she was more intimidating than her.
She nods and offers her hand, keeping the doll firmly tucked under her arm.
Tifa took the offered hand and used it to pull herself to her feet." Not originally no. This was my home for many years though." She glanced around herself at Midgar and sighed as she rubbed her temples with her fingers." I need to get out of here, my bar.." Yes she had a bar, if only she could remember its name and where it was." It's in Kalm." She seemed to be able to remember place names but not other names, it was strange." May I ask your name?" Tifa asked as she set off at a slight walk, now wanting to find her way out of Midgar.
She listens to her, her eyes careful to note their path, considering each word spoken.
"I do not believe I have heard of this place. I will, however, try to help you find a way home. We will need to return to my haven, but it may be well worth the time. You can rest there."
She considered the request of a name. such things could hold power, so she well knew.
" Tifa, Tifa Lockheart." Tifa answered with a nod of her head before she groaned softly." Okay, nodding is out of the question." She muttered with a faint scowl. Her eyes shifted to the world around her, if she ever found the guys who jumped her. God help them because no-one else would." Your haven? Where is that." She asked as she pulled her hair back into a ponytail and winced as she stretched her body.
" A friend of mine will be coming to Midgar at some point." She exhaled a breath, she looked forward to seeing Yuffie. At least with her, Tifa could be herself and say what she really thought about things. She kept her mouth shut a lot around Aeris and Cloud.
