Sorry about the last post getting reposted several times-- I'm quite a caveman klutz with these new-fangled computerthangs sumtimes....
aaanyway--
Lotta big changes in Fezland over the last couple months, accelerating.
Didn't crave a cold beer when confronted with one on a rather Mississippi-esquely hot day-- opted for Wasser mit Kohlensaure--
In other news, Pantz re-lifted and toned my sides, and after a rather endless haitus of my lj-haircut-naming-schtick, I present to you the latest version of Fez-head:
the Grampa Munster:
Which one would you rather bounce your granddaughter on his knee?
The new apartment is more like home than the last, and though it comes together very slowly, the Scarface wall is nearing completion:
And the view from my home office window --
and the Berlin Deathstar from the love-den....
aaaaaand......I've been more actively scouting locations for the inevitable new Speakeasy, which I'm redesigning with the same aesthetics in the form of a proper live music venue. The bar's been doing okay this year, but the thing that keeps it alive are the music events, so it's a natural transition and lifelong dream, and the investors are behind the concept 100%... It will remain in Mitte if I can help it, and it will be nothing short of amazing when it opens, so keep the fingers crossed (and the thumbs pressed, if you are German).
Still have to make an appointment this year to get my permanent residency, but lately the Auslaenderbehoerde has been on strike, so Ims gunna wait it out so I don't have to stand in the Disneyland size lines. Things are being made tough all over for American refugees, so my advice to worthy stateside bretheren in search of a better life, get out while you still can !!!!
Didn't get a chance to see Obama in person a couple weeks ago here when he visited our fine city, but we tried to get an invitation to the Speakeasy through to him, and as we predicted, he flaked. Sheesh!
and in more profound recent changes, lately I
...find myself gazing at starz,
hearing guitars...
etc
