Halloween
Eight hours of sleep and I'm still exhausted. ~_~ Busy day yesterday...woke up at 6:15 AM, had a hectic day at work (one of my coworkers was out sick, so we had to pick up her slack as well as do our own jobs, plus they had me learning how to do some other work that was due two weeks ago), rushed home to take Stephanie to the tax office before it closed, went to Wal-Mart to pick up last-minute costumes (10 tubes of face paint and fake blood for $6...not bad!), went home and made myself up like a zombie, then tore up a sheet and wrapped my brother up like a mummy (we tried toilet paper first...it looked better, but it fell off too easily.) It was pouring down rain by that time, but we still went out. We went to Wal-Mart for umbrellas and were disgusted by the lack of holiday spirit. Then we went to Wexford Park (the rich neighborhood of Vidor) and got lost. For some reason I was the navigator, despite my terrible sense of direction, faulty memory and the fact that I wasn't wearing my glasses so I couldn't see much more than a wet blur. We only found three houses giving out candy, and I think we were the last people to visit all of them before they closed up.
I finally got to sit down and relax around 10 PM, and I fell asleep almost immediately. Now it's time for work again.
