I got up at the crack of dawn to shovel my way to my car before going to work today. I even dressed in groddy clothes I didn't mind getting full of snow and brought a change of work clothes along. But all my efforts were for nothing cause the mall closed at 12:30 due to the weather. So I came over to Sol's to use the computer and ended up getting stuck here. I also got stuck in the parking lot of a gas station on my way home. I guess the side of the building doesnt' get plowed very well cause I wasnt' moving ANYWHERE!! A man had to get out of his truck to push my car and 2 workers from the lube place behind the gas station came to help too.
Driving here was crazy! I thought for sure I was gonna die. For some reason my brain told me it would be easy to use 172 cause it would at least be plowed... But I forgot about all the nasty winds creating WHITE OUTS!!! At times I couldn't see anything past the front of my car!!! All I could do is say a Hail Mary and dirve like a granny the rest of the way.
I figured it was easiest to just stay here for the night anyway. If Jen didn't snowblow the driveway at home I wouldn't have been able to get to my carport anyway. On top of it, I need to be back here in the morning to take Sol to work. His car is in the shop till Monday so hes got no way to and from work till then.
I did want to run to the store though for some pizza and chocolate... but going out for that seems pointless if I'm not gonna go home. Now its late and neither of us feel like going out. And to add to it, there are 3 foot drifts out infront of the apartment anyway so its just fine by me to stay inside. :)
My store was audited by my boss yesterday. Yeah, my day off.. how does that work out? No biggie I guess, I didn't have to be there. But she took points off for stupid shit that I had told her about and was waiting for her to have fixed anyway! GRRR. But the score was a 90% so thats pretty damn good. So that means soon I'll be getting my review and seeing that my audit was pretty good I should get a raise. Yay for money!
