There's a shocker. Jonathan, Maya, and Jennifer are "2." Vijay's "pi." Does that tell you anything about Vijay? Maybe that he's a lunatic--I mean--crazy--I mean--ridiculously weird--I mean--a loser--I mean...unique? (Yay for Vijay-Bashing! Just kidding, I love you, Uncle Ho!)

So not much is going on. I wrote a paper on Sylvia Plath last night for my English class--the last major assignment I'll ever have (at least for this semester) on Plath. That makes four: two papers, two presentations. But it was worth it. I feel I understand her work a lot better now, and I think she's completely amazing. We're starting Anne Sexton today, whom I've found to be amazing as well. Her poetry is so funny, and chock-full of images and ideas, but less nebulous than most of Plath...more approachable, I suppose. I'm amazed that she's not more famous. After all, she won all kinds of awards, grants, positions, etc. I'm becoming so interested in Women's Studies, too. Between my lit class on "Women and Madness" and my English class on "Contemporary Women Poets," I'm learning how to differentiate between gender, sex, and sexuality--it's sooo fascinating. Maybe a minor in Gender Studies is looming over the corner? I don't know...there's time. I think I'll take a class in Gender Studies and/or Women's Studies next semester, and maybe that'll give me a better idea. As long as it's not a major, I think I'll be okay.

So, I'm beginning to understand the weather patterns here: sixty-degree days for two or three days, cold and yucky rain, snow and ice, forty-degrees so the snow melts and turns into slush that is gross and yucky and stuff, warm and sunny days, and then cold and yucky rain again, followed by snow. I guess that's the difference between here and elsewhere north of here: y'all have the same, except minus the sixty-degree, sunny, warm parts.

Oh shoot. I just realized I had fliers to drop off at the residence office. I wonder if they're still open....Drats. I can't believe I missed it today! Maybe I'll run over now...no, I think they close at four. Darn. Ah well. Tomorrow's another day, I suppose.... Lot's o' ellipses in this paragraph.... I wonder why.... I think that's a perfect note to sign off on.... Tootles!
