Been a long time, I know. Lots going on though. J is almost done refinishing the kitchen floor and it looks fantastic. He and Z scraped off the horrid linoleum tiles and tar before Z went off to Zurich to stay w/ GnE. J has sanded a whole ton and revealed the very pretty wood underneath all that crap. Oh, I am so not ambitious enough for kimchee. Seriously. Besides, no one would eat it but me, and even I can't eat it very often. Shame though, they are HUGE cucumbers.

If we were closer, I would steal from your garden. One morning, cucumbers would be gone.

I fill a huge jar with the stuff and it sits in the refrigerator for a day. Maybe two. When he holds back, he'll only eat half the jar at a time, regardless of the size of the jar.

Tzatziki? There's a Greek hotdog place around here that makes it. Yum.

Cucumber water? Although it takes hardly any cucumber at all...

Salad's probably the best way to gnaw through it. Maybe chopped with fresh mozzerella, chopped tomatoes and fresh basil, with a balsalmic vinagerette?

Mm. Cucumbers. I hope they go on sale here soon!

I also just realized you're making cucumber lime sorbet. Let me know how that tastes!

Phil tried a cucumber chile mexican icepop thing. It was probably not the wisest decision he's made in his life.

If I could mail them to you, and know they would arrive edible, I would.

Tzatziki is an excellent idea. I also have a lot of garlic...just need some yogurt. Hot french fries dipped in thick, garlicky, tzatziki is heaven.

That's an awful lot of salad...good thing the tomatoes are starting to ripen though!

So...how do you make kim chee with cucumbers in the fridge? I mentioned it to J and he totally perked up and said it sounds awesome. So I guess I will try it. Huzzah for experimenting!
