Chances are most of the content I create is a derivative of someone else's. Respect the original creator's wishes, unless it's pay items or said creator has been absent from the community for at least three years. After that, feel free to mangle anything I've uploaded to the point of nonrecognition. You can take credit for or charge whatever you want, but just know that karma is a self-righteous bitch who always gets the last word.
Historical Sims 2 Wiki - A great source for content from pre-historic times to the 1920s. Definitely start here if you're looking to create a period game!

Victoria & George - A LiveJournal community dedicated to the years 1795 - 1912. If you haven't already, join it to swap information and content with other period simmers!
Stuff for The Sims 2 - Lidiqnata's personal TS2 website. She's been on a period fashion kick lately, with her most recent forays being Victorian clothing and hair.
Plumb Bob Keep - While it's mostly Medieval content, this place is a god-send for fantasy or Harry Potter themed games. Just beware of the Chamber of Secret. ;)
