been a while since i posted. like, actually posted.
cause im lazy. and when im not being lazy, im accomplishing things.
so, either way results in no posting.
and this first paragraph contains infos about my woman cycle. consider yourself warned!
wednesday, my period finally started, after what seemed like an eternity of cramps. i tried using pads, but they were driving me insane. so i nosed around on the intarwebs and found some infos on people who use cups and iuds, and it works. so i put in my cup just before we left to visit friseurfrau after the 3 hour train ride, we got to lindenberg and i checked my cup. it was full! i was amazed. i never bleed that much! anyways, onto less womanly news and more weekendy news.
after andee and i arrived at friseurfrau's, we talked for a bit while mr. friseurfrau took a shower. when mr. friseurfrau was ready, we all went to dinner. mr. wiggles was at the grandparents and friseurfrau decided he could stay all night, so we could have an adult night. for dinner, we decided to go to the bar at which friseurfrau used to work. it was delicious! but took hoooooooouuuurrrs, cause only one waitress had the money wallet and she likes to take numerous smoking breaks. or. something. but it was nice. then we came back and friseurfrau gave me a haircut. except, her clippers died in the middle of the event, so we had to charge them and wait till the morning. hehe. i had a half a haircut. i felt like dr. kristyll and mr. hyld... or something. hehehehe! we also put the sheets on the beds and wanted to get andee to sleep, but he beat us to it and fell asleep on the couch. so friseurfrau and i talked for a while until it was the right time to wake andee up and get him to bed. i stayed up and friseurfrau and i talked for a while longer. we also made a shopping list for the thanksgiving dinner.
saturday, we all woke up, except for andee. he stayed in bed a bit longer. apparently, his air mattress was a giant bag of ice air and he was cold most of the night. poor guy. after i had roused andee and gotten myself dressed, friseurfrau and i packed up mr. wiggles and headed out to do our shopping as well as get some breakfast for everyone. it had started to snow shortly after we arrived on friday, and there were a good 3 inches or more of snow on the ground. pushing the stroller was interesting, and i was reminded again how much i dislike slush. lol. it was nice walking in the snow, though. i've hardly seen any snow for the last 2 years, really. shopping was relatively uneventful. the saturday market was in full frozen swing, complete with fresh apple cider and fuji apples. i bought some cider and some fujis. apparently, the bodensee is where you want to be for apples. in the store, friseurfrau kept trying to devour everything she saw because of her cravings, and i had to beat her away from the canned pineapple with a stick. okay, that didn't really happen, but she did buy herself some canned pineapple, because it was apparently the most delicious looking thing in the world. lol. after we got back home, we all ate the doughnuts we picked up from the store for breakfast, and friseurfrau and i started cooking for dinner. we got the casserol, stuffing, and nutloaf all prepared, as well as the potatos all cooked. mr. friseurfrau came and helped, while andee slept on the couch. i guess because of the coldness he didn't sleep well, so we zonked on the couch and we just let him be. at 3, friseurfrau and family went to tea with some aquaintences from church. andee woke up shortly after they left and was all 'im hungry'. i was in the middle of dressing and stuffing the turkey, but promised we could go once the bird was in the oven. once i had the bird in the oven, i cleaned up a bit and went to look for the keys i was sure were left for us to use,... um, yeah, no keys. oops! i guess it was so hectic getting everyone packed and out the door they forgot. i tried to call their cell phones, but no signal on the one and the other one started ringing in the apartment. oops! so, andee and i left anyways, hoping friseurfrau and family wouldn't be gone toooo long. turns out they were driving back just as we were walking past their street (after making a circle of the town and stopping for a döner for andee). that was good, cause my toes had gone numb. lol! when we got back into the apartment, i ran to check on the turkey and feared that it might be too dry. i brushed it with some oil and put some water in the pan so i could baste it. turns out, it was delicious(so i was told), and the meat was all falling off the bones. so, then we made the rest of dinner including tiramisu for dessert. finally it was time to feast! and we feasted ourselves into a stupor! we even got to use friseurfrau's special million year old plates from her great grandma. ^__^ after the plates were all washed up and safely in their cupboard away from wiggly hands, andee got his hair cut. we had wanted to watch SNL, but.. we apparently forgot. i guess we were all tired from the long day. oh, we also tried to dye my hair blue, but it somehow wasn't a success. i guess the dye just didn't want to stick in my hair. i need to try again. i miss my special effects. i have no idea what i even did with it. lol. probably is sitting in my storage unit in the us.
so, sunday we got up and sat around the house till we decided we were hungry. andee and i packed our stuff and then we all headed out to play in the snow/get breakfast at the bakery. unfortunately, we didn't have time to play in the snow, either. :( we were all too lazy! lol. after the bakery we headed back to the apartment and finished packing up our stuff. friseurfrau and i did the wishbone, and she won! she says she always wins, tho. next year i'll have to split the wishbone with someone else then. ;) and finally, we headed to the train station and said our goodbies. somehow, this weekend seemed alot shorter than my usual visits. i was sad. but the train ride was relatively uneventful, and andee and i arrived back in nürnberg all in one piece. my huge bag of packing peanuts that mr. friseurfrau gave me even fit in the overhead rack for the luggage! yay. i promised to take andee out for dinner sunday night, and we went to the good greek restaurant. we even had dessert there and i nearly exploded from all the delicious foods. after dinner we went to see the new james bond movie in the theater. then it was relax and bed time. oh man, it was good to be back in our bed with cuddly kitties. ^__^
yesterday was boring. i felt like i should be doing something, but i couldnt remember what. i went shopping, came home. did laundry. boring etc. someone puked on andee's blanket, so i had to wash that, too, despite not having anywhere to hang it to dry.
today was exciting, i went to the ceramics studio, and my crock pot came in the mail. i need to look up some good recipies and cook something delicious for andee and i tomarrow.
at the studio, i didn't throw because i chomped off too much fingernail yesterday and had a big bandaid on today. can't throw with a bandaid on my index finger! doh! but oh well. i guess that's about it. my crock pot was really exciting, though.
oh, and, this friday is my sister's b-day. she'll be 18! man, she so ancient! (and yes, she did JUST miss the election. sucks, eh?) i dunno what to get her, tho. doh!
