I wrote a Goku-centric drabble. No Gojyo or Sanzo in sight. The mind boggles O_O
Title: Open Spaces

AN: It’s probably been done before but I thought I’d give it a try.
He had wanted to get out. Because he saw sunlight and wide open spaces and how could he not want to be part of that? To be closer, part of the picture instead of an observer.
So he called out. So he was answered.
He was free.
But sometimes, just sometimes, he missed the press of dark walls around him. Close and solid. Simply there.
It was those times that he sat closer to Jeep’s side. Closed his eyes to block out the sight of land stretched thin all around.
If the others thought he was sleeping, that was fine.
