Hehe..yeah. I figure they had to have had some way to cope as kids, exceptional though they are. On her, its rather endearing.

well, she's got to be stronger than the boys, because she hasn't got the metatalents they've got to help protect them...and i have to guess that she's inherited a thin streak of her father's madness, which must make it even harder to keep herself balanced. i love this character, can you tell? - i think she brings something extra to the otherwise pretty densely male spawniverse; she's an OC girl without being a sue, and sometimes a female perspective on things can be different and exciting. i wonder what'll happen when the boys suddenly start figuring out that she's not actually related to them...damn! think they'll have unexpected het moments?

Spawnverse wise, she's my favorite to write. And I can do so much with her. She stands out the most to me and has the most unique viewpoint of them all at this point, or so I think. As for the madness....I don't think it's so much actually inherited as learned and adapted from. Like you said, no metetalents in a house full of it. It gives her her own edge, as I imagine it did for Farfarello when he was an ickle thing.

A while back, I was tenatively planning out the spawns' futures and had the brief "What if she married one of them?" thought. Only, she would never want to. Blood is not always thicker than water and whathave you so its all te same to here- they're very much her cousins. Brett and Kirito however. There would likely be het moments in there. I'd actually very much like to write out that bit of history when I get the chance.

...I love spawn-talk =P

oooh, i love spawn-talk, too - lucky we've got each other. a perversion shared, etc. *grin*

wow, yeah. can you see a brett vs. kirito scenario looming on the horizon? ironic, of course, because she's not interested in either of them, but i can see both of them being arrogant enough to assume she would be...and how would the dads react to THAT little battle?

and then there's alex, who genuinely does love her, and part of the reason for that is her lack of metatalent - he's jealous of brett, who got the "right" abilities, and intimidated by kirito, who's a very tough little cookie and a bit cold and unpredictable (i'm taking awful liberties with your characters - just smack me down if i get too far away from your idea of them, or your plans for them...) when i wrote the fic about alex waiting for cailin outside the school, i wanted to show that he values her because she doesn't try to use him for anything, or dominate him, she's just...there - kind of a reserve of strength in that bizarre family. (and he always liked her dad, too...)

Eegads....I have bits and pieces of that floating around and there's enough testosterone and ego flying about that even Schuldig is developing a duck-and-cover reaction.

I can understand why Alex would have a bond with Cailin over the others. Brett's the poster child for Schuford-ness and Kirito is, as you say, a tough cookie- I wouldn't call him cold so much as introverted, but its interesting that you'd describe him that way. I love seeing how other people view characters- while Cailin just....is. Happily. No one in the Schwarz house has anything against her, while Schwarz bickers, and Brett and Kirito get competitive. She's such a princess *grins*
