I love fudge. Creamy, smooth, velvety, chocolaty fudge. (I also love that chocolaty is a word)
But what can be a bit of a hassle is the amount of work and effort that can go into it when making it yourself - or at least that's what I surmise from watching my mom do it when I was a kid - true old fashioned stove top, from scratch fudge is a challenge I have not yet tackled.
Why? Well see the reference to my mother's struggles with this little bit of holiday delight when I was a kid.
Then I found it - a fudge recipe that was quick and easy - amazing
I swear this is almost as good as the real thing and it doesn't take more then five minutes to put together!
2 cups confectioners sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup chocolate chips
Melt butter in microwave and put aside
Melt chocolate in microwave - add butter and confectioners sugar to melted chocolate.
Push into small square pan - fridge for 30 min, cut and serve.
Ok - it takes 30 minutes to set - but it only takes 5 minutes actual hands on work from start to finish.
Next time I want to try adding heath toffee bits and vanilla.
