Continuing Health Documentation

As the title reads, another health update. I'll try to do these every time I have an arrhythmia episode.

So, today I woke between 2-2:30am with my heart out of rhythm again. Did the usual, came downstairs, took a 20mg propanalol tablet and just waited. Usually I browse the internet to kill time. I got a little lightheaded, so I took my blood pressure. 117/78, heart rate was 88bpm (always high or erratic with pals.) Decided to try the shower method of shocking myself with cold water at about 5am. Didn't work this time, however after the shower while combing my hair and examining my face in the mirror, I felt it come back to rhythm.

Note: I've been taking a metoprolol 25mg twice a day for the palpitations and my usual losartan 50mg once daily for high BP.

Overall, a 3-4 hour episode, relatively normal. This always seems to happen around "stressful" times. Right now, I'm about to sell a car, then immediately go to the dealer to pick up a new one. After that on sunday it's my daughters 3rd birthday party at a host place (called kids play), so my wife and I are making sure last minute things are taken care of. On top of that the cost of the newer car will up my monthly expenses by $250, which sucks because my older car basically cost me only maintenance. However, I had quite a bit fixed this past year which is making me finally give up on the 25 year old car.

Insert: The old Volvo 240 wagon I've owned for 8 years, as well as the sedan I owned since 2003 before selling it a few years ago, has made 15 years of continuous ownership and driving of that model and year car. Very good car, all you do is fix something if it breaks and it saves quite a bit of money in the long run. I no longer have the time to work on my own car though, maybe once the kids are more self reliant I can do it, but I've just lost my patience to do it. Thanks for the run Volvo!

Summary: Arrhythmia episode lasting 3-4 hours, possibly anxiety induced again. Doc appointment on the 24th with electrophysyologist to discuss options.

Also forgot to mention I just switched positions at my job again. Left space systems to return to overhaul and repair. Back to training again, still working day shift. Hope to get trained quickly so I can return to nights.
