Most of the time, people try to do good, in hopes that they will be loved.
But Christianity says the exact opposite: it says that you are already loved. And then asks you to do good because of it.
This is where CS Lewis says that Christianity is sometimes so beyond comprehension & counter intuitive that you wonder how it could be a creation of men if not for the bible...
