It had been some time since Liara arrived, and her mother had not let her out of her sight. Only now was Benezia beginning to allow her some freedom again - a relief, because Liara had gotten tired of reading while her mother hovered over her.
She was worried: worried about Yeul, who'd up and disappeared one day, and worried about Karolina and what she might be thinking.
So it was that in this brief spell of freedom, she picked up her phone again and tried to dial a number. The first few times she had been unsuccessful - and that wasn't counting the times Benezia had walked in on her - but perhaps now...
