Seriously, people?

Although it turns out that for the sake of Anthony Warlow and John Owen Jones on one stage I will, in fact, suffer through Sarah Brightman, Colm Wilkinson, and that random guy with the hair I didn't recognise, I really shouldn't have to. My ears, they bleed. Two of these things are not like the others.

I suppose I ought to just be glad they didn't really let Michael Crawford sing, too, but...Brightman, Wilkinson, and RGWTH? Plus the fact it was POTO to begin with? Gah. I think I almost would have preferred not to have recognised Warlow in that clip of the encore way back in the beginning in the first place, because of course once I did I had no choice but to watch.

(Though at least I didn't see any point in sitting through the entire performance. I'm kind of bummed POTO got a full staging whereas Les Mis only got concerts--twice--but then, only one of those scores really stands up to a concert version with minimal visual distraction.)

Man, it's been too long since I've had a chance for musical geeking.

ETA: It looks like I'm one of those Firefox users who's unable to post comments under the new hideous system, so I guess I'll have to reply here.

Those are two excellent questions, greenislove. I might know RGWTH by name, but if there were any credits either my PBS station cut to the membership drive too early, or I just missed them.
