I have a theory about Barrons.
I think he was the one who wrote the journal Dani photographed for Mac (mostly because of his reaction he gave when Mac told him to hold the spear and the fact that he talked about a princess with V'lane). I also think that she might have given him the elixer, therefore his soul is gone.
