Just pretend I commented on the current state of affairs and it was really edgy and infuriating. But not as cutting as whatever you said, of course. Because whatever you had to say? Totally important, absolutely key to gaining insight to the situation, and not at all symptomatic of the fact we're all locked in a small space prison and forced to ( Read more... )

[What the fuck, he'll do his creepy Bob Barker impression for her too.]

Okay, Hayley, the price is right. Come on down.

[He's lurking around the ring, stretching what was his injured arm.]

[Hayley spends most of their interactions not quite knowing what to think of Jason. She likes that he cuts through all the bullshit in most things, but she also acknowledges that he's a little unstable. Even though they were friends before, he can still be an asshole -- like father, like son -- and this guy doesn't remember her anyway.]

"Hey." [She greets as she strolls into the gym. Hayley slides her red jacket off and sets it aside, dressed in a black tank-top and gray yoga pants.]

[On Jason's part, he hasn't come to many conclusions about Hayley either. But he's never taken antagonistic interaction to rule out the possibility of interesting conversation at the very least (really, ALL his conversations are antagonistic to a certain degree) and he's more than willing to hang out with her until it proves to be a bad idea.]

"Hey."

"How's your arm?" [She asks with a hint of a smirk, only because of their conversation last time. Then she's climbing up into the ring, not letting on how vastly intimidating it all is. Hayley's also not a fan of physical contact, but learning how to fight seems like a good idea.]

[In dealing with a girl who is like, half his size, Jason himself isn't a big fan of touching her unnecessarily, though he displays no discomfort either; he's neither a drill sergeant nor does he treat her like a china doll.]

"Weak. Make a fist."

[Hayley makes a fist as instructed, though it's not exactly the best fist ever. She does step into a loose boxing stance, trying to at least show effort.]

"How long as it been now?"

"Over a month, but I haven't done shit because... of shit."

[He reaches out to move her thumb a little.]

"You know how to punch already?"

[She suppresses her natural instinct to pull away from him, allowing him to move her thumb. After the initial defensive reaction that wells inside her, she regains her sense and tries to focus on remembering what he has changed.]

"I think so." [Hayley launches a punch into the air launching her arm forward with moderate speed but poor form and little technique, then looks at him for feedback.] "What kind of shit?"
