This afternoon I relinquished a tooth to the surgeon, very willingly. "To promote better growth of the bottom right neighbourhood," of course. I've never had such a thing done to me, and the freezing sensation is wonderful. Currently i am gauze-mouthed and trying not to drool, and waiting for the medicine to kick in some more. Half-days are nice, except i have to study in a frenzy for a geography test tomorrow. Subduction zones! Epicentres! Theory of isostasy! This in itself is helping.
It feels like i'm feeling someone else's cheek. This is weird.
I'm currently reading Nineteen Eighty-four by George Orwell, having just finished treasure island. I'm glad I've gotten back into reading; summer was a bit of a slumber for that as I was working continuously and climbing trees where the winds don't permit the pages of books to rest in peace.
The story is coming along. Orwell's a good inspiration. Kate Murphy is an excellent poet, I just wish she'd come to film studies class today to see a particularly funny scene in "Birth of a Nation". egad!
My love for the fiery furnaces has been rekindled by blueberry boat: absolute afterschool brilliance.
Lately, since I haven't had my worry rock, which is with a person in Ladysmith that i trust most with it, I've been putting a penny in my pocket. Now I don't know how I'll let go of that when I get my worry rock back, so I'm contemplating keeping each in each pocket. Seems reasonable enough, Brock.
The thing about having half of your face frozen is the inability to notice yourself drooling red drool... I got a few strange looks in the waiting room afterwards. Waiting rooms are over-waited. haha!
