all out of the problem solvent

hi, this is brock.
as if my last little entry didn't explain everything, i'm going to make another entry.
tomorrow is the last real day of school this year. tomorrow is my birthday. tomorrow is an orthodontist appointment at 8:30 ante meridium. tomorrow is monday june the twentieth two thousand and five.
today was garfield the cat's birthday.
i'll start with thursday. thursday was very fun. it was a show at the pizza place and i finally saw luke and jordan again and a lot of people from parksville and qualicum, for that matter, it reminded me so much of exactly one year ago, except then it was at the back of that building, at the grid. they played a short semi-improvisational set with people playing lots of instruments and in the bridge to a song, james and i had an accordion-off. he has a nice accordion and i only have my little button box but it was still a lot of fun. they reminded me a lot of the decemberists.
then we played and we played okay but jamie kept stepping on his patchcord and pulling it out and getting it wrapped around his leg, it was like a very ornery snake. then shawna and kenzie left without really goodbying and a small group of us hung around at the underground after the show for a while which was great, and i got a ride home with jade and heidi. we went down this new street in royston which we all had never been down, it was a fantastic experience.
saturday evening was my birthday dealy sort of thing at the apartment. it was okay except the whole night i two bad thoughts in the back of my head.
1) you have to get up and go to work by six, for eight hours.
2) the apartyment will not be so for much longer.
i will not drink for a long time.
input = alcohol. output = bad feelings and emotions and a dramatic civil war.
i didn't want emily to leave. i didn't want alan and hoon to get in a fight.
i didn't want to just leave and sit next to my bicycle for a half hour trying to understand something or another. it was beyond me at the time and still is.
but jamie made me soup and i felt much better. it was hot.
we set three alarms and slept for two hours and got up at 5:30 and jamie drove me to safeway which was a very nice thing because he didn't have to and i could have just bicycled but he does those sort of things.
emily made me a very thoughtful and inspiring card. it was very nice of her.
kensey gave me a plastic dinosaur and said she'd leave something on my doorstep tomorrow. also very nice.
amanda got me socks. oh no wait, she didn't, she got JAMIE socks. well, lisa did. i have too many socks anyway, and not enough feet.
i just thought my birthday party was going to be happier but then i remembered it's just a party. at least people came to it.
i need more than two hours of sleep tonight, that's not even enough for an introduction. good night good night good night good night good night good night running shoooes.
