Well, we did everything we could. I keep thinking we could have done a little bit more, pushed a little bit harder, but in all truthfulness, I'm proud of the work we did do. And I'm even prouder of my team, which I am honored and humbled to have led. But more than that, I'm proud of Senator Kelly and all the tireless work he's done for our largely misunderstood and misrepresented state. We are doubtless worse off without him, but better for having had him working on our side for six years. There's no one who can convince me otherwise.

In related news, I am now officially jobless. Although I suppose that isn't true, since I still have the Talon. But that's not so much an occupation as it is...just something I do. I am looking forward to spending more time with my family again, time that was squandered thanks to the incredibly long hours I was working on the campaign, and the exorbitant length of my commute to and from Metropolis each day. And I have lots to do at home. Wedding preparations, getting ready for presumably start classes in the spring, etc. I'll find ways of occupying myself. I always do.

And now, I am going to go on vacation. Shocking, I know. But I've decided that I deserve it, so off I go to some undisclosed location, free of cell phone. I'll have my laptop though, so I suppose the lack of a cell phone is kind of defeated in that sense, but nonetheless. If you need me, you can contact me here.

Thanks to all of you who have been supportive of my mini-career these past few months, and supportive of Senator Kelly. I'd be remiss if I didn't admit that I'm going to desperately miss just...being busy, but I'm a little busy-ed out for the time being.
