Littleville and its Kansassians

A certain jealous someone asked about my lunch with Perry White today, so...

First off, he was completely sober. And clean-shaven. So that was a step up from the last time I saw him. He picked me up from the office and we went to some little outdoor bistro downtown. Seems he's gotten his job back at the Daily Planet and is quickly rising the ranks once again, on his way to becoming the Pulitzer-nominated reporter he once was. We discussed yesterday's press conference and the current state of journalism and its role in politics - a shockingly intelligent conversation. He's far more intellectual than I ever gave him credit for, though even he admitted I couldn't be blamed for that false perception of him.

Now to address the question on everyone's minds: did I get hit on by Perry White? ....Yes.

But one flash of my wedding ring and a reminder of what my husband's like and he immediately recoiled and continued to be a perfect gentleman for the remainder of the outing as if it had never happened. I have to respect that.

In any case, he again offered his advice and assistance to me, in an unofficial and unpaid capacity. He also offered to co-host the Get Out the Vote rally with me tomorrow, for which I am endlessly grateful as I'm sure I'd flounder without someone to banter with up on that stage, and we seem to have a good rapport between us. He has a great sense of humor, so I get to be the straight man. Now I'm actually looking forward to the rally instead of dreading it.

So, there you have it. Shock? Awe? Tell me.
