Amycus knocked on the door. It opened after a few minutes and he bounded into the warm interior of the house with a grin on his face. He raised the bottle of wine he had brought with him. "I brought...oh, it's you."

"What are you doing here?" Rosalind crossed her arms and looked up at the boy - no, man - that was nearly a foot taller than her. Last time she had seen him, he was fifteen and too tall for his own good. Good to know some things never changed. "Augustus promised to come with me today."

Amycus made a face at the impish Gryffindor. "Plans change."

"No, not fair!" Rosalind declared, stomping her foot.

"Robin, will you please behave? What did I tell you about behaving like a child in my house?" Augustus frowned as he came into the living room of his flat, wrapping a scarf around his neck. He looked surprised as he saw the other man. "Amycus, what are you doing here?"

"I came to surprise you," Amycus said, then paused, realizing what he had just said.

"How sweet," Augustus smiled gently. "But I promised Robin I'd take her shopping for dresses. You can come along, if you like."

Rosalind opened her mouth to disagree, but shut it immediately after Augustus gave her a sharp glance. "Very well," she muttered.

"I'd rather not," Amycus ran his fingers through his hair, looking at Rosalind. "I'll come back in the evening, I suppose."

"Have it your way," Rosalind said brightly, tugging on Augustus' arm. "Bye, Amycus!"

"You spent quite a lot today, Robin," Augustus told the little girl with a small smile. He wasn't scolding; in fact, he was amused. He eyed the several packages she had on both arms.

"Pah," Rosalind tossed her hair. "I didn't spend quite as much as Alphonse does on one of his petite amies."

Augustus laughed as they walked towards her home. "Good night, Robin. This is as far as I go," he looked around the Muggle neighborhood.

Rosalind nodded, understanding what he meant. "Thank you for seeing me home," Rosalind smiled and waved - or tried to, at least. "Have fun," she beamed up at him before turning on her heel and walking quickly towards the third house from the corner.

Augustus tilted his head at her parting words until he remembered Amycus' promise. Smiling to himself, he walked towards a dark corner and disappeared with a small pop.

"Don't tell me you've been out here all day."

Amycus shivered in the cold before looking up and smiling at Augustus. "Didn't know when you'd be back."

Augustus placed his hand on top of Amycus' head and messed up the younger man's hair. "Pythons are supposed to be the hunters, my dear."

Amycus sniffed. "Even hunters' hearts are susceptible to the right kind of weaponry."

Augustus laughed as he undid the locks on his doors. "Come on, then, and quickly," Augustus crooked his finger at Amycus as he slipped inside the empty flat. "The cold seems to have made you unnaturally sweet and I prefer you sultry."
