Author's Notes: Written because Rashnu made an uninvited visit to my brain and I couldn't get rid of him. So I had to write this.

A pale nymph with dark hair and dark eyes sat in his Common Room. Rashnu raised an eyebrow as he reached the bottom step. He wasn't the type to believe in apparitions, though he was quite certain he had not seen this face frequent the Slytherin Common Room before. The apparition - no, it wasn't an apparition - whatever it was turned to look at him. Maybe it was a ghost? Though this one did not look half as transparent as the spectres he saw around the castle.

"Good evening," the ghost spoke.

"Good evening," Rashnu responded. He felt like being polite.

"Have you seen Augustus?"

The ghost was looking for Augustus? He sat down across from the ghost and couldn't resist. He leaned over and touched her knee. It was quite solid.

"What are you doing?"

"Making sure you aren't a ghost."

"I'm not a ghost. I'm looking for Augustus."

"Rookwood? I don't share his room, but I am fairly certain he is asleep."

The non-ghost made a sound of impatience as she stretched her legs. Rashnu watched. If she displayed them, he was allowed to look. "Are you sure?"

"I have told you," Rashnu said, turning back to her face. "I am not certain."

"I don't want to wake him if he's already asleep."

"Wise decision," Rashnu leaned back. Rookwood wasn't the kind you woke up for paltry reasons unless, of course, you had a death wish.

"Still, he said I could sleep with him tonight," she complained.

Rashnu raised an eyebrow. "Are you certain this is Augustus Rookwood you speak of?"

"Yes," the girl answered.

As far as Rashnu knew, Rookwood was not interested in sleeping with her kind. He leaned forward and looked into the girl's dark eyes. "I cannot speak for Augustus Rookwood. You are, however, welcome to share my bed," he smiled.

She surprised him by laughing. "If you expect to be paid for the room rent, I have nothing to pay you with," she teased.

"I only ask for a kiss," Rashnu replied, standing.

"A kiss!" the dark-haired girl shook her head. "I don't like being kissed."

"Then you have not been kissed properly," Rashnu said, sitting beside her and leaning in.

"And I suppose you will teach me?" there was a hint of amusement and teasing in her voice.

"I could."

"Do you expect to be paid for your services?"

"We shall figure the numbers out later," Rashnu said impatiently, running his fingers over the girl's shoulder. He raised an eyebrow when she didn't shudder like most girls. He looked at her and touched her face, guiding her face closer. Her lips were soft but she was inexperienced. She would be taught and well. Dropping his hands to her waist, he pulled her closer. She surprised him by moving gracefully to straddle him. He felt her hands on his shoulders, nails digging slightly into them. He laid one hand on the curve of her waist and the other guided the back of her head. His kisses gradually got more insistent. He ran his hand upwards from its position on her waist gently.

"Ahem."

She broke the kiss to look up. He turned his head as well. Rookwood stood at the foot of the stairs in a pair of nice pajamas, his arms crossed. "Can't you behave?"

Rashnu was about to defend himself by saying he had been on pretty excellent behavior when the girl (who was still straddling his lap, by the way) spoke first. "But he started it, Aug."

"And you responded like the child that you are," Rookwood tapped his foot impatiently. "Do you even know his name, Robin?"

The girl turned to look at him. "Who're you?" she asked him like she hadn't just been snogging him minutes earlier.

"Rashnu Lestrange," he said pleasantly. "And who have I had the pleasure of kissing tonight?"

"Lestrange," she repeated, as if she knew the name. "I'm Rosalind, pleased to meet you."

"Pleasure was all mine," Rashnu said, smiling up at her.

Rookwood coughed again and she bent down to give him a very brief kiss before climbing off him and walking up to Rookwood. Rookwood touched the top of her head. "If you don't start behaving better, I shan't invite you in again."

"Yes, Aug," she said submissively.

"Rookwood," Rashnu called out. "I've invited Miss Rosalind to share my bed for the evening."

Rookwood raised an eyebrow and looked down at Rosalind. "Would you rather stay with him tonight, Robin?"

Rosalind shook her head as she hugged Rookwood. "No, I like sleeping with you, Aug."

Rookwood smiled down at her. "Good answer," he told her before looking up at Rashnu. "My apologies, Lestrange, but the lady has spoken." Rookwood and his friend walked up the stairs slowly. Rashnu watched Rosalind as she went up, appreciating the view the girl's transluscent nightgown provided. Once they were gone, Rashnu stood up and made for his own bedroom. Going to bed unsatisfied seemed a lot less bothersome option than paying a visit to the girls' dormitories.

Rashnu opened his eyes a few hours later as he felt movement in his bed. He reached for his wand and pointed it at the trespasser, who laughed. It took him a moment to recognize the laugh. "What are you doing here?"

"You offered the use of your bed, yes?"

Rashnu put his wand away slowly as she slid under his covers and rolled on top of him. "Let's just get payment out of the way..." she brushed his hair out of the way and gave him a kiss.

"Either I'm a better teacher than I thought or you have been lying, Miss Rosalind," he muttered as she raised her head for air.

"Does it matter?"

Not at all.
