I can't believe it has been a week since Fanime, and EXPO is around the corner. Since most people are posting about Fanime I thought I would have a bit of fun with my post. As most of you know, I love collecting animation cels. Yes, thanks to Val. Love u! On Saturday I spent at least 2 hours talking to Ed aka Anime Ed. We discussed animation artwork, Lion King, Outlaw Star, etc. So of course I bought a bunch of things off him, and a couple he gave to me for free! Huzzah!! First I will show the nice stuff then the free cells that I completely made fun of.
I usually shop for cels from Outlaw Star and Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors. Ring a bell? Ok, first Outlaw Star.
Gene Starwind! One of my ultimate favorite characters of all time! >w< I have 7 cels of him total, and four of them are framed. I try to find good facial expressions or action shots. Ed's prices are fairly decent if you play your cards right. Some people really charge an arm and a leg. This cell I love, because you can see three things: the navigation system, Aisha Clan Clan, and Twilight Sazuka. I'm hoping to broaden my collection and get either a Melfina or Aisha cel. But, I LOVE GENE!!!!
Next Samurai Troopers!
Sage, the warrior of Light. I believe this cel is from the OVA where Sage gets kidnapped and does absolutely nothing...Lolz. I have been into this show for a long time. Diane Schulz is also a huge fan and we would get drunk watching the show shouting, "DR. KOJI!!!" So far I have 4 cels from this show. I do have one I bought for Diane, but she has me holding it for her... So Sage! He is awesome and has emo hair and an awesome sword. I have always wanted to cosplay as on of the warriors, but I'm not skinny enough to do Sage, so maybe Kento..? He does wear orange... my favorite color.. Ugh, I fricking need a marathon with this show!! >~<;;

These are color keys from Disney's the Lion King by Daniel Moore. I'm so happy I got these, thank you Ed!! <3 The top one is from a concept scene that didn't make it into the final film. If you can see, there are two other characters with Simba and Nala that were not developed yet. So this was definitely made during the character development stage. The bottom one is for when Simba goes into the Wilderbeast canyon thingy. Such a sad scene! D; The color really capture the foreshadowing of what is to come.

First, Ryu from Samurai troopers from the ending credits playing with the ball of light. I can't remember if the ball of light is one of Sage's powers or it was a premise to one of the stories. Sorry, it has been awhile.
This is the ending theme. You can see my cell from the beginning. ^v^
Well, I figure a ball of light would be way stronger than a little glow...
The next two are from BIG O!
First we have Roger Smith. He is controlling Big O during a fight. Something looks funny, like he is holding a plunger.
I think Roger needs to do some negotiations with the toilet...!
Finally, my last one. Dorothy is being carried away originally by Big O.
But, wait! Who is saving her now?! HOLY SHIT!!!
Santa is saving Dorothy from the Evil Snowman! RAAAWR!!!
