I have officially raised my GPA by one-tenth of a point.
That's right, bitches, this boy made straight A's in physics! I just checked my grade on VIP earlier today, and it's official: A!
After the lab practical for summer II, my grade dropped from a 92 to a 91 and I was scared that the final would drop me from a 91 to a B, but I got an 87 on the final and it only dropped me to a 90. And it's times like this that I love Upstate because we don't have A-minus, which makes my 90 an A. Go me!
And then I was checking my tuition bill because it is due it T-minus 10 days and counting. It was what I thought it was going to be and I was showing it to my mom to let her know how much it was going to be.
And this is what followed:
Me: Yeah, and they haven't taken the life scholarship out yet, but I don't think they will until after the semester starts.
Mom: That's weird, I wonder why they do it that way.
Me: It might be because I took summer classes and they had to make sure I still qualified, but I don't... Hey.. wait a minute.
Mom: What?
Me: *points to screen* Look, this says that my pending financial aid is 3750 dollars for the semester... That's not right...
Mom: Did you...?
Me: *interupts* I shouldn't have... hold on. *checks scholarship awards. The LIFE reads 7500-dollars for the year* This says... but how?
Mom and I stared at the computer screen, completely dumbfounded.
Mom made a few comments about how she hadn't heard anything from anyone she e-mailed, and I just stared at the screen, completely in disbelief of what I was seeing.
I got the scholarship boost from Math and Science majors.
I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how I got it because according to the law (which I looked up) I didn't qualify because of my math credit, but according to VIP, I have it.
I got the money. This means that it will cost a little over 200 dollars plus book money for me to go to school this fall. This is unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable.
I wonder what happened...
