Work
Today is the fifth of July. That means it's clean up time at the city. Apparently people think fireworks and holiday means they can just leave their garbage all over the place. Work on a saturday. No fun. But at least I got friday off.
The following is a list of the treasures I discovered while freeing the parks of the garbage everyone left behind:
-Flip-flops, purple, too small for me
-Baby bottle, full of milk
-2 pennies, heads up, hoping for some luck
-hairbrush, lots of hair
-Bouncy ball, colorful, entertaining
-Pterodactyl, orange, small
-Toy Truck, yellow
-lighter, red, full, functional
-baseball mitt, a bit too small
-a large amount of returnable bottles and cans (my share amounted to 3.50 USD)
Overall I find the baseball mitt to be the best find. It's also the only one I kept (I kept the pennies, too. Not because I'm cheap, I'm just hoping they're lucky). I guess the money from the cans was better than the mitt, but i'm not counting that as a treasure, it goes under the category of 'general booty.'
I got done working around 10:30, so I didn't lose my whole saturday. Now I have to power wash the house, so i'm not going to have much fun.
No, this doesn't mean I'm going to start writing in here more often.
