Dear life, stop being stressful. Kthx.

So after the First Hell Week, the sequel is here and has brought friends. Looks like the entire month of October is going to be spent chained to a desk. I'm even considering re-arranging my Fall Break plans to not include awesomeness in Athens with Renu and Co. I may just be here, hammering out my honors seminar capstone project, which is ( Read more... )

Heh, your location of "desk with ball and chain" is precisely how I feel this week. I've made another to-do list for the week and have not made much progress at ALL. I have yet to finish a single thing that is due tomorrow... or, um, get off LJ. (Things should NEVER be due on Tuesdays for me. Do professors not understand my Monday night need to squee?)

I'm feeling very much the same as you, philosophy-wise. There are too many people that want me to do things and as a result, I don't have enough time to figure out what I want, other than a break from all the demands. Every spare second I get is spent slacking off.

Here's hoping you (and I) get everything done BEFORE the sun comes up tomorrow morning. Because sleep is good. It keeps you pretty and stops you from killing your crazy sorority sisters. =D

I think I have senioritis. As a sophomore. Seriously, I have six pages to write and a powerpoint to put together and I haven't done any of it.

Aw, poor you. HIMYM is poorly timed for homework. At the beginning of the week, with all hell awaiting you... don't worry, Recruitment Practice is the same way for me--it takes up all that valuable time between 8 and 10 pm when I'm actually awake and could be productive.

My sorority sisters are utterly INSANE. I love them, but they are.

Random fact: Gorgeous Pi Kap Lars is not in the library. It is upsetting (and a relief as well). I need to show you him. He is very pretty.

I think I still have senioritis left over from high school. I also have six pages to write tonight, not to mention another movie to watch and two more to write up. All I've managed to accomplish tonight is watch HIMYM and Cold Mountain (don't worry, the second one was homework) and blog about HIMYM (don't worry, that was-- okay, it totally wasn't homework). Were it not for my need to watch a second movie tonight, I'd probably jet off to the library or something. (Yes, NEED. It's cinema homework. Sigh. Damn my need to watch TV instead of movies this semester!)

And I would love to see this mythical Gorgeous Pi Kap Lars. =D

I didn't go anywhere for Fall break. I stayed here and went to the store and worked and it was awesome.

See, I just internalize it all. Unless someone actually asks about it.

Hum hum hum. I have an orgo problem set due this Thursday I haven't started on, and a physics midterm next week. Whoops.

You need to do well in school and tell yourself that you're not going to flunk out and whatever not have you. You need to get your work done and not overthink about the future and had beens and could have beens and missed opportunities.

That doesn't seem too off from being a religious studies/philosophy major.

I do have to say, don't you have a boyfriend now?

I spent 11-12 hours working Saturday. And about 10 Friday.

You crack me up =) Seriously, but it seems like it's never this hilarious when I get stuck with a huge pile of work... probably because I just stay shut up in my dorm for all hours of the night. Maybe I should start going to the library...

Oh, and I'm totally on board with the whole can't-talk-to-gorgeous-people thing. It's a genuine affliction. (Although, in this case, I'm going to have to echo Kenneth and ask-- whatever happened with the boyfriend?)

Miss you!

Ellen
