Hey man, it took me a while to remember my password. Man, LJ is old school.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear you like work.
Grad school is alright. Definitely better than York. I'm living in a little 1br apartment near Villanova, going to class and working on the unmanned surface vessel project I might have told you about. It's pretty time consuming but nothing like the last year at York. I actually have free time on occasion. I went into Philly once to see the touristy stuff I'd never seen and I'm pretty sure I recognized some of the roads from that time we went to the Electric Factory. *shudders*
Lol, I can't believe you remember any of that crap Mike said. Those were some funny times I have to admit, though I'd never want to re-live that particular year of my life *shudders*. I told someone the story of Ross getting up and pissing on his playstation the other day. Such good times….
I did not get episode 2 yet, though I did notice it was out. I'm pretty friggin poor now, plus I have no time. I wish I'd gotten to see your new PC though.
Anyway, I know we kinda drifted apart the last year or so, but it’s worth saying that I don’t know what I’d have done without your friendship in college. I know I’m not an easy person to live with, but you were a great friend and I appreciate it.
It just occurred to me that you might be out this way sometimes. If you ever are and want to catch up we could always meet somewhere for lunch or something. I still have the same cell number and all, so hit me up if you feel like it.
Oh yea, those freaks next door were about to get evicted when I moved out. I'm not sure why exactly but I thought that you might get a laugh out of it anyway, lol.....
Haha yeah LJ is pretty old school, but it was such a big part of freshman and sophomore year.
I'm glad to hear you like Villanova. If you told me about the unmanned vehicle I don't remember? Whats the goal of the project? What kind of stuff are you doing for it? Glad to hear you have free time now. The last year of York was insane. I do miss working on the car though... and the machine shop. Aw man I remember that trip to Philly. That BMW was amazing. Nothing like being able to see the road. Good times. What kind of tourist stuff did you see... like old city stuff or museum stuff?
I can't really believe I remember what Mike said either. Like you said... I probably wouldn't want to re-live those times, but I'm glad I did once. I do however miss ordering pizza and hanging out... and always the Soldier of Fortune 2.... speaking of which I still can't believe you played all the way through that game.
Episode Two was pretty good. If/when you do get it though make sure you get Portal as well. It was pretty short but fun as hell. Hows the jeep btw... I remember seeing something on facebook about you taking it off the insurance, but didn't know whether you just planned on not driving it on the road, or if you were taking a break from 4 wheeling. That would be ashame though.. you seemed to like it a lot.
Yeah I am really grateful for your friendship as well. If it weren't for you I don't think I would have made it through any of Woj's classes. I still remember joking about how boring and pointless they were. I also remember when we went to talk to him about the recitations and he just kind of told us to stfu. lol. I can't believe how much we've been through. Remember Epads and having to work with Carrie. God I didn't like her.
I'm not 100% sure where Villanova is, but I would def. be up for hanging out sometime. IDk if you have my # (I finally threw my pos tracfone where it belonged) but if not: 717.424.2944
hahaha those ppl were ridiculous. I def. think the dad hit his wife... or at least thats what it sounded like idk. I'm so glad not to have to live next to them anymore.
Anywya it was good to hear from you dude. Like I said I'd totally be down for hanging out sometime. Hope school continues o go well for you. btw how long will you be in grad school?
Hey, sorry I never replied. I sometimes think I'm in some kind of time warp where weeks go by before I even notice.
Anyway, my research is a little hard to explain, cause I don't fully understand what I'm doing yet myself, but the basic field is nonlinear controls. My specific area is model predictive control. Basically you have the (highly nonlinear) equations of motion for the boat, and write programs that use those equations to come up with trajectories for the boat to follow. It a LOT of programming in matlab.
Anyway, thats's enough of that, but you asked.... lol. I'll be in school for another 3 semesters.
Villanova is due west of the city in the suburbs. If you're ever out this way, let me know, I can meet you somewhere in the middle or something!
Anyway, I'm glad to hear you like work.
