I haven't posted here in a while, so why not post some pics.. i'm working on building a new PC. But enough talk.
So far I've only ordered a few pieces; the case, the water cooling system, a window kit for the case and today I ordered my gfx card.
This build I was trying to go for quiet. My computer right now is pretty loud and its starting to bother me. so:
This is my case. Its a NZXT Hush. Its lined with foam inside and has 2 silent fans. I cut a hole in the side and installed the window, which is still covered in protective paper.
Next is the water cooling system. Its a Zalman Reserator version 1. I am going to try and find a new AC pump and replace the included one. I'm planning on adding a few more components like a vga cooler so I could use the extra ft of head.
and the included water block
I like this system a lot. Almost everything is aluminum except for the 2 compression fittings going into the reservoir, but aluminum inserts in the aluminum reservoir is a bad idea... this way if something strips or get ruined it will most likely be the plastic piece.
thats it for the pics. Sorry the quality is kinda crappy. Its a camera phone.
Today I ordered my graphics card. its going to be awesome. Sapphire Radeon 2900 Pro 1gig DDR4. I can overclock it to XT speeds. (Crysis here I come)
I'm not sure whether I want to go quad core, or just stick with my original plan and get a core 2 6750.
As for the motherboard... I've been trying to find a Gigabyte GA-P3-DQ6, but no one has them in stock. Its for the best tho. I should wait for intel's new x38 chip to come out (Oct 11)
This weekend I may get some supplies and etch my window.
Thats all.
