Tigers, rawwwr

So I know I don't update too often. Lately it's because I've devoted all of my spare time to my mom's new business. We are in the cleaning, room-gutting, wall-tearing/building, painting, scrubbing, and heavy lifting process one must take to make a disgusting, destroyed, building into a working business. She's opening an antique mall. We set up pre-measured booths that a dealer can rent. The dealers put their antiques in for sale and pay us a monthly rent(and possibly some commission, not sure on that part yet). We'll do cosignments and have an ebay store as well. The place will be called "Timeless Treasures Antique Mall" and is located across from Larsons bar on Telegraph(Seagals old place).

I got my first break this weekend and was invited to a Tigers(baseball) game for my friend's 22nd birthday. The night began in such a depressing fashion with seemingly no hope of recovery. We left Monroe at 5:30 for the 45 minute drive to Detroit. Two traffic jams and 2.5 hours later we arrived at our destination city. The streetlights in town were out, so the already crazy D-Town drivers were acting particularly edgy at all turns. We finally found a place to park to my wonderous delight (as my bladder was dangerously near its exploding point) and we made our way to the park. Once inside it was already the 3rd inning.

We went up to our seats (section 346) and sat for a minute before venturing back to the long, long lines in, what turned out to be, an almost futile attempt to ease our angry stomachs. After waiting in the Little Caesars line for about 30 minutes(and an inning, mind you) we get to the front only to be told they were out of pizza. Not only that, they WOULD NOT sell us a beverage because they weer CASHING OUT THE DRAWERS. The pirate in me took over my mouth. Several obscenities and speeches to the crowds in line later, we were on our way to the ground floor to try the other pizza stand. Followed by an angry mob, we reach the line. Joel went to the front to ask if they'd have pizza while I jumped in line. They were as shocked as we were about the other TWO places upstairs running out. After all was said and done, we sat down in time to catch the last 3 innings.

Somewhat disappointed and mad, I began watching one of my least favorite sports with little anticipation or excitement. Tigers were winning, but Ken Griffey Jr hit a grand slam home run for the Reds. Bottom of the ninth, two strikes, two outs, one man on base, tigers hit a home run down the third base line and tied the game. We triumphed in the tenth inning when an easy play to first base was overthrown and our guy on third made it home. It turned out to be the best game of the season.(i got tired of typing every detail so that last paragraph is a little rushed and choppy)

The fireworks were awesome. That's all for now folks, update more when I'm less tired.
