The corpse disappears at the noise but the image stays firm in her mind, too similar to the actual

But she hasn't seen her West yet. She hasn't felt that irrational, but immense pain. That doesn't mean she can't see it in Romana's wails, and that's why she's searching Discedo immediately, eventually finding the girl and her ghost.
Prussia steels herself, reminding in a sort of mantra in her head that Venezia cannot possibly be dead as she approaches.] Romana. It's not her.

P-Prussia... Prussia, she won't wake up, she won't, no matter what I do, she... she probably thinks it's so funny.. ha... ha... please... [Her eyes drop back to Venezia, Romana shuddering as she presses her face to Venezia's forehead, ignoring the way blood smears on her own skin] Vene, please, please wake up, don't... please...

[And then the body in her arms flickers, Romana's shriek even more high pitched as her sister disappears. Frantic, she whirls around, shouting at the air.] Give her back! Give her back, bastards, shes mine, my sorellina, mine, give her back!
P-please... [A shudder rolls through her and Romana hunches over, sobbing and wailing as she gropes for a sister that isn't there]

Get up. There's nothing to be done for apparitions. [This is rapidly becoming a command, rather than a suggestion.]

The sight of her sister's corpse terrifies her. It's a failure. It's being more lonely than she already is. It's having nothing, no purpose.
So she struggles, her hands smacking Prussia's away as Romana whirls around, fingers scraping across the ground as she struggles to stand]

S-Si, I know she is. But she's sleeping, I need to go and wake her, make sure she doesn't do anything dumb.
She... she's fine...

[She doesn't touch Romana again just yet, but watches her closely, ready to grab for her again, should the need arise. She's worried, completely concerned, and horrible at showing it. That weakness isn't a common thing for her these years.] The only ones we need to worry about here are me and you.

[She turns, staring at, or through Prussia. She feels so lost, helpless. She hasn't felt like this for centuries, and she never wants to feel like this again] I have to find her, first. And make sure she wakes up.
[Slowly, she turns again, feet stumbling as she starts to walk, hunting for her sister again]

[And then she lets her voice become more authoritative, as she wraps her hand tightly around the Italian's wrist.] We're leaving. You can't stay here. I won't allow it.

Prussia... I... I need her. I can't, not... not without her, you know that...

[She looks intently at Romana, not letting go of her wrist. She can imagine the difficulty in this. But from the outside, she also plainly recognizes the need to do everything to make the other nation move on and away.]

[She shakes, her fingers curling up as her head drops and she starts to cry again, this time quietly. Covering her mouth, she tries to weakly pull her hand free, wanting to run away so Prussia can't see her like this]
