Once upon a time, Rachel's eighth grade teacher handed out something similar. Rachel hated that teacher, and decided to be a smartass by writing up a list of explanations and answers for the questions to turn in the next day. It's an amusing story, really.

Explanations:

1) It's easier to steal things in the front of stores. Prescriptions are more valuable than cigarettes, so it's logical they'd be further back.
2) There aren't much furnishings in banks to steal, but people accidentally take pens all the time. The costs add up. Additionally, if someone had their mind set on stealing from a bank, closed doors wouldn't stop them but open ones seem friendlier.
3) First of all, junk is a lot easier to steal for most people than cars are. Secondly, most people don't insure their junk.
4) Both the hotdog and bun companies want you to have to buy more of their product, so they make it uneven. To have an equal amount of hotdogs and buns, you'd have to buy eight packages of each.
5) A "tic" is not a bloodsucking creature; that'd be a "tick." Additionally, the suffix "tic" means "characterized by."
6) "ATM machines" is grammatically incorrect, but I won't get into that. They have Braille lettering because most organizations require it, and hey, one day someone may be driving their blind grandmother to the bank to withdraw money for rent.

Answers:

01) Skin and hair have a different anatomy and respond differently to any given condition.
02) I can and do on the rare occasions I bother with makeup.
03) For the same reason "pet psychics" on Animal Planet have to ask the owners the name of the pets.
04) Because it itself is not an abbreviation.
05) To practice is to perform something repeatedly. They repeatedly perform operations and write subscriptions, and they gain more experience each time they do so. Thus, it can be referred to as a practice.
06) Many people don't like how real lemons taste, but they're supposedly useful for cleaning.
07) From the dictionary: "The word broker may be connected through its Anglo-Norman source, brocour, abrocour, with Spanish alboroque, meaning “ceremony or ceremonial gift after the conclusion of a business deal.” If this connection does exist, “business deal” is the notion shared by the Spanish and Anglo-Norman words because brocour referred to the middleman in transactions. The English word broker is first found in Middle English in 1355, several centuries before we find instances of its familiar compounds pawnbroker, first recorded in 1687, and stockbroker, first recorded in 1706."
08) Because everyone is trying to rush to get home, which makes traffic congested.
09) Cats prefer to eat things like fish and more common meat; mice are just fun to toy with, as are other small animals. They have mouse toys.
10) Like they'd need to be kept on a boat anyway. o_O
11) Sanitary reasons. They'd get sued if they didn't whether the person is supposed to die or not.
12) Anyone here want to pay more taxes for it?
13) They have these crazy features called flesh and bones, which normally tend to help creatures maintain their size and shape.
14) They're separate, individual homes within one building.
15) The prefix "con" is simply a variation of the Latin prefix "com," which means "together."
16) Another meaning of "terminal" is "destination."
