I finally have interwebs at my apartment.
FINALLY.
Granted it was only five days since it should have been connected, but it was five days of AT&T being complete dipshits.
Many thanks to Shawn, in whatever department you work in seeing as I got transferred a couple of times on that call. Thanks for actually doing your goddamn job when 15 of your coworkers didn't desire to.
Whatever. It's working, I'm content with that.
Hmm, not much to report. I've been sick, hooray!
Kelli and I did go out Saturday, to the crystal shop and Wholelife Books and such. Went into a clothing store next to the bookstore and met the woman who ran it... 78, and one of the most pleasant people you could ever speak to. After knowing Roger and Colette, I'm not terribly surprised when I meet older folks who aren't bitter and, well... old. But Kelli said it changed her view of the elderly. She was a very cool lady, that's for sure.
I'd really like to go back to the crystal shop and buy a few things. The energy in the place is amazing.
I'm also looking into making a djembe drum. It will be a lot more work than just paying for one, but buying one just seems pointless to me. Kelli was talking about making one as well.
I need to learn how to play my cello. Honestly it's not that difficult; if I can find a note, I can play simple songs on it. The trouble is actually figuring out where notes are without picking around for them - I'm no good without frets - and my technique is probably all wrong. Plus I have to play instruments left handed.
I'll figure it out one day. It's too lovely not to.
Those are my musings for the night. I'm going to sleep.
Or maybe playing Unreal until five in the morning... get up for school at eight... totally possible, right?
