Dude Orks are funny. Since experiencing them in Dawn of War, I now know they aren't STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON they are like cockney south London wankers. Not so bad now.
You grandma makes good homemade food. I was plesantly surprised.
Check out this guy's shop, Nick Anderson's Body Adorned. Mae is getting pierced there tomorrow, and I am gonna talk to Nick because his gallery is freaking cool, and this is his first shop.
He said that the only dude that have been doing it long enough to train an apprentice doesn't want to other than the owner, who has one. He doesn't figure he'll have one in like a year or year and a half, so I don't know how that shows up.
Dude there are LITERALLY 60+ shops here, just find a respectable one.
one-i loved those glasses with my life, then i lost them, and got an even BIGGER pair in thailand, THEN left those at brian's house the day before i moved... they almost hit my lips when i talked...
and i miss them like they were my own child.
two-dont get an apprentiship on 6th street. there are few credible artists there, and you will get mostly drunks who want "this sick tattoo" of a crying clown with a naked virgin mary. i was talking to this my piercer at body adorned and he was saying how hard those bussinesses make it for everyone else because they do crappy work, and alot of it. which means that the good artists often get stuck with cover up jobs, and removal, rather than good quality tattoos that they can show their artistry through.
CORRECTION- i left those glasses on the plane to Bangkok from Japan. and was pissed. THEN i bought some bigger ones in thailand, and left them at brians...
Well 1) The glasses are still huge, 2) That sucks that you lost them. and 3) There are still alot of shops in Austin or even the surrounded area that I could get a job at. Plus I usually tend to wander in the hole in the wall shops because they usually have hidden talent that you normally dont see very often.
I still have those glasses. I haven't worn them because they make me look retarded. They look good on you, however. I'll bring them to austin with me and you can pick them up there or something.
