A Year? Already?!?
Whew! The exact date was forgotten, but I think it was about a week ago that marked my one year anniversary of living in Florida. And what a year it’s been! The earth’s most recent rotation has been filled to the brim with excitement as I have:
*Worked several stupid, demeaning jobs
*Lost 30 pounds
*Rekindled my love affair with the potato chip
*Been involved in the spectacular collapse of two rocknroll bands
*Shared living space with a cavalcade of characters including an ex-con, a married couple, a pizza guy, and a rock star or two
*Got to see both Tenacious D and Radiohead live
*Done the laundry and dozens of other mundane tasks
*Somehow remained devoid of any discernible suntan despite living within driving distance to the beach
*At the risk of sounding cheesy and sentimental, made some great friends
*Wasted dozens of hours on Live Journal
Not bad for a move that started with making my mom cry.
